I'm hosting this swap in the ATC Addicts Club but I thought we'd make it more interesting here. I stumbled across this awesome tutorial on how to make a pocket booklet with one sheet of 12" x 12" paper. It's so easy and has so many options. Tutorial here ** This time, We are going to put something in each of the 8 pockets for our partner that they can use for Altered Art. Of course that could be just about anything but I was thinking along the lines of a folded piece of vintage paper, some ribbon, a small package of tiny treasures, a tag, etc. Make 1 pocket booklet with goodies for 1 partner Please: * use 2 sided paper * add a way to keep the booklet closed * make the front altered and more than just plain * do your best work This is a pretty inexpensive and simple swap. I probably should include another Addiction Warning :o)

Believe it or not we make these books (without pockets) in my class when we write stories. Last week we made fraction books. Who would have known I'm training future altered art addicts.

This was such a fun swap -- I had a hard time not adding just one more thing to the pockets so my booklet is bursting. Once my partner takes everything out, though, it will close up tight with the ribbon tie, and I also stamped art-related sayings on the inside. I sent it out in a priority flat box today (May 2). Is there a specific place to notify your partner that the swap has been sent out?

Hi Margaret! It looks like you found your way around fine :) This is different from the yahoo group. Here you just need to send it by the due date. Priority or delivery confirmation is solely up to you. I usually send first class as that is the least expensive. I'm happy you enjoyed the swap! -Julia-
