Embossing Scraps

Everyone has scraps lying around. Instead of throwing them in the rubbish, create unusual backgrounds with them. This technique provides an effect that's reminiscent of mortar between cracks or of a rich patina that has snuck in cracks and crevices over the years.

1. Glue down random scraps of paper being quite liberal with a glue stick as you want it to come out a bit.
2. Cover the card with embossing powder and tap off excess.
3. Heat the powder to melt with a heat gun.
4. Add top image or embellishment to enhance the ATC.
