Description:

Continuing something someone else has started can be very challenging but also quite inspiring. I like it and that's what this swap is about.

Here's what I want you to do:

  1. Make two similar ATCs but don't complete them, just create a nice background that might inspire your partner.

  2. Send both starter-ATCs to your "Send to"-partner.

  3. Once you received the ATCs from your "Receive"-partner finish them in a way you see fit, then choose one to keep for yourself and send the other one back to your "Receive"-partner. Please try to do this within three weeks after receiving the cards.

Rules:

  1. Obviously you can only rate your "Receive"-partner so please rate as soon as you have received two starter-ATCs. Sending back the finished ATCs (within three weeks after receiving, please!) is a matter of trust. That's why participants for this swap need a rating of 5.0 and at least five completed Type 3-swaps.

  2. The two ATCs don't have to look exactly the same but the idea is to have two similar ones so they also shouldn't differ much.

  3. Please give your best and send something you would love to receive.

  4. Have fun!

If there are any questions or comments, please don't be shy. :o)
By the way, I will angel or try to find angels but hope, of course, that won't be necessary.

I was asked what exactly the background consists of. Since I think that's a good question I thought I'd put it here with my answer. You are very welcome to give your own point of view.

This is what I wrote to the person who asked me:
In my opinion you can't clearly point out the borderline between background and "rest of ATC" since it depends on what you are using. A piece of paper with an interesting pattern can be enough for inspiration but in other cases it might be a good idea to add something more. You can get an idea by searching for atc backgrounds on flickr.com.
