Description: | |
For this swap you will create SIX handmade 3 dimensional flowers for one partner. So more people can participate, you can use ready made flowers (like Prima's Got Flowers line) that you layer and then alter OR you can use a die cuts and punches and make these completely from scratch. (Of course, you can use a combination of the two methods if you'd like.) The object of the swap is to create the flowers AND alter the flowers by painting them, adding glimmer mist, etc. not to simply stack the layers and attach them together with a fastener. (that is sooooo 5 years ago! lol) Here is a sample of the products you might consider using.....Glimmer Mist, stickles, Bling, UTEE, metalic foils, alcohol inks, crackle paint, stamping, embossing, glossy accents, crackle accents, etc. Use your imagination and be creative! The flowers do NOT have to be made out of paper or card stock. As you can see from the list of links, TH packaging, drinking containers and metal are just some other ideas. To help give you some ideas....the following links use the Tim Holtz Tattered Floral die...Even if you don't join this swap some of these links are fabulous for ideas! A couple at the bottom do not use a die. This is one by Rachael one of my FAVORITE YouTubers This one uses embossing folders, die cuts, and capris sun drink pouches! another take on the die here this one uses packaging and fabric in addition to a die This one shows in detail, painting and altering a lot before the assembly. this one uses a simple pair of scissors and a 6x6 piece of card stock this one uses a variety of punches (and I LOVE this tutorial so check it out) Please package your flowers so they do not get crushed en route. And as always...please upload your completed flowers to the group's Flickr page so we can all enjoy them! Any questions...please just ask. |
