Do you work in an office where you have access (legitimate, please)to company promotional items (swag)? Post it notes, pens, other goodies that you'd love to share and swap with others? Do you have a collection of freebies from companies and feel like pruning and reinvigorating your stash? Do you just like "swag" and have access to someone who can provide you with some to throw into an envelope and get some goodies back?

Me too, and I'm giddy to share.

Guidelines are simple. Put together some promotional swag - and a note about where it came from, if you're inclined - and post it off to your partner.

Business cards do not count as swag.
So what do I have in mind?
Post-it notes, pens, pads, key chains, mirrors, sewing kits, breath mints, change purses, coffee mugs... stuff like that. I've seen some really GREAT stuff out there (messenger bags, flashlights, thumb drives) and BOY would I love to get that kind of stuff, but that's really more at the heart-worthy end of the scale.

At first I was worried that this swap would exclude all the wonderful swappers whose job is at home (yes, that would be the ones of whom I am wickedly jealous), but I've realised that there are hotels, stores, shops, and whatnot with promotional stuff at the ready for folks brave enough to ask. If you really want to play and your office (wherever it may be) doesn't have goodies available to you, solicit local businesses, family, friends, the OBVIOUS pharma reps in the waiting room at your doctor's office... and stuff that envie!!!

I've made this US and Canada only, because I'm stingy with postage, but if you're international and want to start one of your own, I'm not stingy with ideas.
