Description:

Hi all you 6 inch square makers out there! Most of use who make 6 inch squares (crocheted or knitted) use them for a scrap afghan (scrapgahn or uglyghan). What a better way to add a flair to our blankets then to get squares from other people!

In this swap you will send 2 squares to 2 people. That means 4 squares total. They must equal 6 inches and be crocheted or knitted. If you knit them please add a crocheted border around them for easier assembly of our scrap blankets. There are no color requirements. They can be any color and type of yarn. HOWEVER you should really see if your partner has any allergies so you make squares your partner can use.

There are no requirements for this swap except that the square is 6 inches, you have a 4.9 or higher rating and you have no recent no sends. I will ban users from the swap right before I assign partners. Please do not ask me why I banned you if I did. Also please NO FLAKING!!

If this swap does good we can do color themed square swaps.

OK, I love this idea but I don't know if I have a pattern for anything 6 inches. I find myself doing more crochet than knitting these days and I really would rathre not do a granny square. But I could also do something knit if it's a simple pattern. Anyone have pattern hints? If I can find one, I definitely want to do this!!

Mutentpenguin: easiest sqaure in the world, it can be used to make a discloth, a sware or a whole baby blanket. It looks very nice when done. CO three sts, in every row increase in the first stitch. Continue until half of the square is knitted--it will be an isosceles tirangle, i.e. sides equal, one not equal. When half the sqaure is knitted decrease a st on every row until there are only three left. Bind off. add crochet edge if preferred. It is just great to do while busy with other things because the only changes are ALWAYS made in the FIRST stitch.

it will make a A discloth, SQUARE, not sware. the triangle has two side equal, not two sides and one long side. I wish this had spell check.
