Astrological Signs ATC #1: Cancer

This is the first swap in a series of twelve, the theme of this one is the astrological sign Cancer (June 21 - July 22). The send date on each ATC in this series corresponds to the end date in the sign's period of birth. You will create two ATCs, one for each partner. Be creative, no sticker-slapping, and the work must be your own. ATCs measure 2.5"x3.5" and use a sturdy workspace- card stock, ATC backs, chipboard, etc. Make something you would be proud to receive. & as a bonus, why not let your partner know what sign is yours in a short note?

Cancer is personified commonly by the crab. This sign's story originates in Ancient Greece. Cancer was sent by the jealous goddess Hera to serve as a distraction while Herc fought the Hydra. Poor Cancer was stomped underfoot. As a tribute to the crab's sacrifice and loyalty, Hera immortalized his image among the stars. Cancer babies are seen as loyal, creative, nurturing, and sensitive people. The element is water, the ruling 'planet' is the Moon, color is Silver, and the stone is pearl.
