Description:

I know it's been a LONG time since I've hosted one of these but I've been incredibly busy. I want to do it again though. It was so much fun!

For this swap you will choose at least 5 items off the following list to send to 1 partner. I'm setting the budget at $10 to $15 because you can get each one of these items for $2 to $3. I'm keeping it at one partner because of the amount of items you need to shop for.

Some ideas of where to find the cutest things are the sales bins at stores such as Michael's (or other craft stores), Dollar Tree (always has some cute things), oh and Target has a really great Dollar area.

I am not going to be able to angel so please, please, PLEASE do not sign up if you don't plan participating. I will have to delete anyone with no-sends or a rating below 4.8. Newbies are welcome. If you have no ratings or feed backs please just send me a message first so I can be sure you are indeed wanting to participate and not just clicking a bunch of swaps. :)

10 pencils

4 UNUSED postage stamps

4 greeting cards

2 stationary sets (2 papers and 1 envelope = 1 set)

1 soap or bath product

1 Nail/Toe Polish (new/unused)

1 Lip gloss (new/unused)

1 Hair decoration (barrette, clip or headband)

4 tea light candles

2 Votives

1 address book

1 journal

2 pairs of (new/unused/cute) socks

2 buttons/badges (the type you pin to clothing)

2 cute magnets (refrigerator magnets)

1 item not on this list but is on your swap partner's "likes list".

Thank you in advance for participating.

P.S. I'm sorry, but this is US and Canada ONLY! Canada JUST got over a postal strike and the turn around for mail to and from Canada is currently 14 to 21 days so PLEASE take this into consideration before leaving bad feedback. If there are too many problems sending to and from Canada I'm just going to leave it US only for the next one. Again, I'm sorry.

I changed it to ONE partner. That makes it a bit easier!

Random: I call the dollar part of Target the "One Dollar Holler"

Have you noticed that they're throwing a lot of $2 and $3 items in there now? I noticed that the last few times I went there but it's still great stuff. I can't wait to get my box. I hope more people sign up. I've done this kind of swap once on Swap-Bot and a few times with a facebook group I'm in and it's always great fun shopping for things!!!

@rachelcdoyle I havent noticed yet... the lies!! I'll have to be more careful. Not that $3 will break the bank, but it's principle, darnit!

fawnscrafts 07/23/2011 #

They have the $2.00 and $3.00 bins, but folks move the things from oneplave to another. Always look at the price.

fawnscrafts 07/23/2011 #

Ok so if the items are not as much at out place as theya re elsewhere, and we do nto have more than five or six items what do we do?

Does it still have to be $10.00 to $15.00?

If the handmade item can be sold for more than the $2.00 can that count?

I want to sign up, but I do not want to be in trouble for not sending perfectly.

I have like I said six of the items but out cost is not as much as yours is, it seems so what do I do? Cross off the price mark?

rachelcdoyle 07/25/2011 #

I set the price to assure people aren't mailing their partners junk and garbage. If you can follow the rules without spending $10-$15 then that's fabulous! I wish I was as crafty as some of you. Basically the rule of thumb is don't send anything you wouldn't want to receive. So please sign up! It will be fun!!
