Pardon my being naieve but what are milk bottle shakers and qi haters? I'm sure I'm neither but I'm curious.

purely based on the effort that's gone into the swap description I am going to join! It's on the watch list for now but I will certainly be signing up when the time comes.

milk bottle shakers is a term i made up for the swap. but let's pretend it's people who hate people who recycle glass bottles or just in general, recycling. milk bottle shakers are just lazy asses who don't want to help clean up the world. They are probably your mum and dad from the "Olden day generation".

qi haters are people who hate the show, Qi. May they burn in hell. x

you are missing out! It's shown on bbc 2, dave, bbc i player, and i think on bbc worldwide (for those in the states) If not there's always youtube.

yes we open them, read them. and then in swap part 2 we send all 10 onto just our 1 partner.

Question..I'm new to this, so I'm not entirely sure how this works. If Part 1 is sending a letter to ten people, I guess that means we're waiting for two more people to sign up, yes? blushes from asking dumb question

Okay, can the letters be about literally anything we want? I'm assuming everyone here is going to be sick of reading 10 of the good ol' boring intro letters... I'd really prefer not to write the whole "Hi, my name is Heidi. I'm 22, from _____. I do ____ for a living. I like to _______ in my spare time. I have ____ sisters..." ten times, but if thats what the swap calls for, I shall do it. But I doubt that's the case here....

Okay, so I typed in this whole comment and it's not showing in the computer. So to sum up what my paragraph was: Are these meant to be 10 of those normal intro letters? I'm going to assume not, but I rather not make an ass out of u and me. So, intro letters, or anything we feel like writing about?

I would guess you wouldn't want the letters to be identical simply because when you send them to the next person they might have already gotten your letter and it would be more fun if each letter was unique. Hopefully we get more people so it will be less likely we get the same exact letters twice but it should be fun either way.

@ningjingmollie if we only get 8 partners, or 4 or however many less than ten, the swap will still happen, it will just be less than 10 partners to send to (if less then 10 people join)

@HeidiJean anything we feel like writing about. intro letters are welcome but hopefully say something a bit more fun then just general "hi i am XX, i live in XX etc.."

@Shelly yeah everyone should try to mix their letters up a bit so no letter they send is really the same from the last one they wrote.

I finished all my letters, so I'll try to make it into the post office tomorrow to get them sent out! =) This has been fun!

I'm making each of my letters have a theme so they are all completely different. One letter I talk about school, one my cooking, one my crafts, ect. I can't wait to see what happens with the next swap!

I'm running behind, and unfortunately have a full schedule at work, so most of mine won't be posted until 2nd (friday) I hope my 1 day delay doesn't offend anybody too much!

I've been sending out letters as I write them... So if I could, I'd be marking this "sorta sent out??" haha.

I'm also running behind due to a migraine I had for a few days so I couldn't write. I promise to try to complete all letters Saturday and send them all off. All have stamps ready to mail.

I cracked a tooth and lost a few days due to pain meds and 3 hrs. of drilling.....Hope to have them all out by tomorrow (the letters, not the teeth). So Sorry!!
