Description:

I love the pressed pennies and I love to know about where they come from...so..... for this swap, you will have 2 partners. You will send each partner 1 pre 1982 pressed penny with a postcard and brochure all from the same place. Most places that have a penny machine also have a gift shop where you can grab a free brochure and a cheap post card, also most places will let you into their gift shop free of charge(paying no admission to the attraction). So this should not be hard, and you might find many goodies for collections in those gift shops, :) Let's have fun with this. The reason for the pre 1982 penny is because of the zinc content in those minted after that. Pennies minted after 1982 will turn black in time, then you are left with junk. I bet you have several copper pennies in your purse right now, :)

1982 is a but far back for people who arent born til like the 90's. would love to do this... but this isnt age friendly

@luminescentlove - it isn't about the age of the swapper but the date of the penny used in the pressing machine. Check your change/coins and you will typically see the dates range from 2011 back to the 1960's.

Yes, it does not matter how old YOU are, just the penny. You mis-read the requirements. Sometimes you even find older than the 60's, I have found some from the 50's(wheat pennies) in just loose change.
