I love lucky paper cranes; they are one of the easiest origami models to make but are also very lovely and elegant. Legend says if you fold a thousand cranes, you will be blessed with good health and it is widely regarded as the symbol of peace. If you do not know how to make one, go to http://www.sadako.org/foldingcranes.htm for instructions and a link to an animated tutorial that is very through and easy to understand. This swap is for paper cranes; you will have one partner and send them five paper cranes. That is it, no restrictions as to size or materials. Make them big, make them tiny; use your prettiest paper or a page from an old sketchbook or magazine. Write a note on the wings. String them together with brightly colored yarn or tuck them into a nice matching envelope. Use your imagination. You can, of course, include any extras you like! I am making this one International, since it does not cost much to mail paper, and Newbie-friendly for all those looking to get ratings. I will be banning all no-sends after sign up has expired; if you have any questions, please PM me. |
