Again, this is for the fabulous devotees of the fabulous Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab. You will have two partners. The swap will require two vials, one for each partner. You will need to write a note to each partner, explaining how you made the product and, if you wish, the directions or recipe for it. This time, you will take one vial (decant or Lab Imp) of a favored BPAL fragrance for each partner (GC, LE, Salon, DC, Dark Delicacies) and use half of it in some product of pampering for your swap partner. The other half of the vial will be sent with the product you made. This does NOT have to be a scent from your partner's wishlist! It is nice if you can do this, but something in the same scent-family that s/he may like is also suitable. You are NOT required to go broke buying Voodoo Queen! You may make the product from scratch or you may use a purchased base. Suggestions: a small jar or pillar candle or two votive candles four small or two large tarts soap scrub lotion powder or something not listed (I really don't think it would work in lipbalm, though!) or even a set of scented stationery (at least 4 sheets/2 cards and 2 envelopes). Please have a link to your BPAL wishlist (LJ or forum) for your partners to consult or list a selection of several oils/notes in your profile here, and please try to have several easy-to-obtain GCs just in case your partners are fairly new :) Not lower than 4.8 rating, No no-sends in the past 2 months, No mention in the questionable swappers forum. Once again, please list any pertinent allergies in your profile or in comments here. Your criteria for rating are: 5 -- a product, a note and a half-full vial sent on time; 3 -- late package, or missing either the product, the vial, or the note; 1 -- no package! These do NOT have to be something from your wishlist -- live a little! Experiment! You may be surprised! Whooo! Did I forget anything?

For my sake....I'm easy...love the chance to try new scents...

The only ones I'm dying to try (have) that I don't have are Dorian and Dragon's Milk (or any of the Dragon's series besides Bone....have a few of Dragon's Bone).

In general...I don't really like uber sweet scents, but if you find them wonderful for body products....I'm always willing to try...never know...it could change my mind grin.

Also...to my partner...I only have about 70 imps...and I'm sure alot are duplicates....so if you request only specific oils....I may have to go through all the notes, tones, and bases used to try to find the closest I have in my own stock...might not be able to match exact.

cerwinrhiannon, the lotion or the stationery might be the easiest things to make --

Lotion: take a small bottle (one or two ounce for the purposes here) add unscented lotion (available st health food stores) and 5 to 15 drops of BPAL. Shake, make a pretty label or tag, and there it is!

Stationery: tissue paper with a couple of drops of perfume oil stationery sets zipper-type plastic bag Let set a few days :)

Kye -- don't worry, I'm sure you'll be fine :) Are you on any of the BPAL comms on LJ?

This site has some nice projects -- and you can substiture perfume oil for essential oil in darn near all of them.

the comms on LJ? I got lost there sheepish grin I use BPAL madness forums to buy, eventually trade once I finally get through all the imps I have and make final decisiona opn them, and to get a good idea about the make up of the scents and how well their various notes work for others (length, undertones, etc.)...

I like:

Danse Macabre (my favorite), Ace of Wands, Darkness, Dragon's Reverie, Desire, Sin, Spellbound, Haunted, Queen Guenivere (or something like that), and Scherazade. Sorry for the bad spelling.
