Do you have a favourite local artist or gallery? Or a stationery or book store that sells local art cards?

Check your partner's profile and pick out one folded notecard by a local contemporary artist that you think they'd like. No historical or famous artists like Van Gough or Thomas Kinkade, and no cards manufactured by a greeting card company, however pretty they are. We want to support an independent artist with their own small business.

Then write a short letter inside the card saying something about the art. Some suggestions: Why do you like it or think your partner would like it? Where did you get it? Have you met the artist? Is the artist just starting out or are they locally well-known? The letter should cover at least the full inside back page, if not the entire inside of the card. This swap is for folded cards sent in envelopes, not postcards.

This swap is open to newbies. 4.95 rating or higher for established swappers. I will angel if needed, but please don't make that necessary. Please have a decently filled out profile with enough detail for your partner to get an idea of what you would like. I will remove anyone with very sparse profiles or unexplained recent low ratings.
