I'm a mother of two gorgeous girls, I work part time two days a week which is a great balance for me between home and personal space.
I'm a very keen cook - I make my own bread, preserves, pasta. I would one day love a cafe of my own but that's going to have to wait until the girls start school.
I also write, poetry and fiction.
I make dolls in my oodles of spare time.
I love to travel. My husband and I lived in the UK for 5 years before our eldest daughter was born and before that I lived in Canada for a couple of years when I was in my early 20's. We'd love to live overseas again and I can't think of anywhere I haven't been that I wouldn't like to go!
At the moment I'm listening a lot to Feist's latest album. The Shins and Sarah McLachlan are also on my playlist along with Frou Frou and the soundtrack to Lost in Translation.
Love John Updike, particularly the Rabbit series, although almost all of them really. I also love Richard Ford's writing and that of Haruki Murakami.
Recently saw Eastern Promises with my husband, the first at the movies in ages and loved it. A very daggy all time fave is Moonstruck - cheesey but something about the mood of it I love.
Enjoyed watching Deadwood - so sorry it ended. Loved the Sopranos and despite contrary opinions from many others, loved the final episode. Girley stuff I love Grey's Anatomy and still love ER. Still love Seinfeld and even though I've seen them time and time again they make me laugh. In the same vein, loved Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Love nice fabrics, not cutesy stuff though. Restrained I guess I like, although colourful. I make dolls, so small amounts of things for them are nice. I also make clothes for the girls from dresses and shirts to decorated tshirts. Interested in other crafts (particularly making bags) but at the moment time means this is all I get to.
