Hello, Im Elizabeth. I am 26, and we live way out in the sticks of Kentucky. My husband and I have been together for 10 years and we have a 5 year old little boy.
I am currently a stay at home mother for the summer. I have planned to spend as much time as possible with my family, spend time outdoors, and work on organizing my house as well as complete a few diy crafts and take some day trips. I love to read and I also paint rocks. We are members of a local Facebook rock painting group and we are avid rock painters and hunters. We are also very active in our local Pokemon Facebook group, which we use to interact, but when we are out and about we are on our cell phones playing Pokemon Go together. There is not much to do in my small town, so we make family time however we can.

Favorite Books:
Dystopian future novels, anything sci-if, Murder/mystery novels, books based on true stories, anything in the Young Adult section, all James Cameron novels, poetry, The Host, and The Lovely Bones. There are several books I am looking to either read again or read for the first time. The Uglies series, The Harry Potter series, The Gender Games series, The Game is Life series, books from famous people such as reality stars, Olympic medalists, etc. The Magic Treehouse series. About the only books I do not enjoy reading are those that read like a war novel.
Favorite Television:
Sometimes I get to watch tv, and when I do I enjoy reality shows like survivor, teen mom, and the amazing race. I also enjoy medical and crime dramas such as the good doctor and criminal minds. I love the Big Bang theory and Bobs Burgers. They are my two favorites. I enjoy Siren, The Crossing, and other drama/family shows. We even like cartoons in this house, The Power Puff Girls, Family Guy, As Told By Ginger, and Hey Arnold to name a few favorites.
Operation Christmas Child
I am a proud supporter of Operation Christmas Child. You pack shoeboxes for children aged 2-14, mostly in other countries. I have been doing this for 4 years and I am in love. I am up to packing over 20 boxes a year. If you would like info on OCC, please let me know! I will accept any gifts for OCC. School supplies, small toys, stuffed animals, coloring items, bags/totes, even children’s clothing, etc. I collect year round and we pack in November. I am learning to sew and would love to try out new things. I would enjoy getting any kind of material you would like to send, I make pencil cases and Barbie and doll clothes. Also would love to receive patterns if anyone would like to share some! Especially patterns for barbies and small dolls. I am definitely a novice to sewing but I am excited to learn and receive anything I can put to use sewing. I craft and sew several items year round for OCC.
I have always been a fan of letters through the mail versus email and facebooking someone. I will probably send letters with any item I swap. I love to write and to get to know people. Everyone has such a beautiful life story if others just take the time to listen to it. I love small talk! I have a few swaps under my belt, but I do enjoy this experience very much! So far my experience has been fantastic¸ I may still be a newbie but I am not a flaker! I am beginning to keep a log of all of my swaps and the partner & date mailed, so please, if you do not receive something, reach out to me and I will track the package or send a replacement, just give me the chance to fix it first please?
I am not picky and like almost anything, big or small, and enjoy the thought behind the swap the most.
Also, I have a 5 year old little boy who loves to get mail! His name is Kaleb, and he would enjoy anything directed to him. He loves stickers and play-do, he is a fan of Thomas the train, Paw Patrol & Chuck and Friends. He loves to play in his sandbox and the water. He will be a kindergartener this year and is obsessed with school supplies (pencils, crayons, erasers, notebooks). He just graduated preschool and is already collecting school supplies for next year. He wears a size large kids shirt. Normally around the size 10 area. We also love to do puzzles together and make crafts. Thanks for thinking of him, if you do.
Looking forward to more swaps and meeting all of you wonderful people.
