I am a newby sewer, but I love unique and vintage fabrics and patterns. I have a couple of collections I started years ago: shot glasses and salt & pepper shakers. I recently started collecting bottle caps. I also recently started loom-knitting, so I am always on the lookout for yarn.

My son (Caleb) is all boy. He loved to draw and make up stories, usually about dinosaurs and zombies. He also loves animals, especially puppies. He is a book nut, even at 5. I am always looking for old kids books to read to him, although that has proven to be a challenge.

Favorite colors: black and purple. I love the combos of pink/brown and blue/brown.

Favorite flowers: orchids, lillies (although I am horribly allergic to some lillies), roses
