Hello! My name is Paula and I am a mother & business woman in Portland Oregon. I am originally from Japan and have been living in the US for a very long time. (But my English is still questionable so you need to excuse my English.)

I live with my husband and two fur kids - long hair chihuahuas. Our daughter is currently studying in Japan. My husband is originally from Hawaii and we have Christmas tree business in Honolulu so we go there every year to do business and visit his side of families. All my side of family is in Tokyo so I go home once in a year or two. Also, my best friend lives in Richmond Canada so I get to go there pretty often. I love travelling! (One of these days, I really would like to go to Europe.)

After 25 years, I found a great Kumu Hula (Hula teacher) and Halau (Hula school) here in Portland and I started dancing hula again. I love hula!

I'm a member of JOR - "Japan on the road". We go to elementary school classes around this area and introduce Japan: where it is, how we live, what they can do in Japan and how to use chopsticks and etc. It's very exciting to know that kids are very eager to learn about my own country. This is my favorite volunteer work.

My wonderful daughter got me into this site beginning of this year and since then I have been enjoying swapping.

I don't watch TV much nowadays since I'm hooked on Dramacrazy.net where I can watch hundreds of Japanese shows.

I love the Beatles. Nickleback, Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, Hinder, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Avril Lavigne, Train, Teresa Teng, Momoe Yamaguchi, Bach, Mozart, Makaha Sons & Niihau, Cazmero Brothers, Royal Garner, Gaby Pahinui, Kaahuanu Lake Trio and etc..... actually I love all sorts of music.....

I love creative works: right now, I'm into painted ATCs,

I love all movies which will make me happy: 50 First Date, Legally Blonde and etc.

I used to love to read especially English literatures and various detective stories. But now, reading makes me tired... because once I started reading I can't stop reading until I finish it.... and I like long stories.... So, I enjoy Japanese shojo mangas: Sora wa Akai Kawa no Hotori, Hanayori dango, Haikarasan ga touru, NY Komachi, Mars, Hikaru no go, Basara, Free, Hanazakari no Kimitachie etc.

ALL GORY THINGS!! Liquorice candies, Cheap Stickers, Imitation Jewelry, People who think they are the best, People who think they know everything, People who are too pushy, Slow Computers,

I love collecting ATCs. I mean really artistic ones. I do appreciate ATC with stickers on as long as it is artistic..... but nothing is so disappointing to receive sticker slapping cards. Also I hate Gory cards.
