About Me

I am a SAHM to two toddler/preschool boys (and random foster children) and I love creating costumes and quilting. I love 80s cartoons, especially Strawberry Shortcake (not the new one) and Rainbow Brite.

Favorite Crafts

I love quilting with 100% cotton fabrics. I love stars, dots and dragons. I prefer brights over pastels. I do not like any reproduction fabrics. I prefer greens and blues over reds and pinks. I am teaching myself to make bags/purses and stuffed dolls, so patterns, closures or big buttons for those are much appreciated. I also love being organized and love little mini tins and boxes. My sons love painting and drawing so fun paints or crayons are always loved.

Favorite Music

My favorite band is REM, but I also love Metallica, Disturbed, Greenday, Bowling for Soup, and Barenaked Ladies.

Favorite Books

I read parenting books and fantasy novels from the Forgotten Realms.

Favorite Television

Heroes, Smallville, Supernatural, Grey's Anatomy, Survivor, Ninja Warrior, NCIS, Robin Hood (BBC), Dr Who, L&O:SVU, and CSI

Favorite Movies

I love period movies from the middle ages and renaissance and fantasy movies. Like.... Dangerous Beauty, Elizabeth, Robin Hood, Narnia, Harry Potter, and Ever After.

Currently Working On...

I am collecting fabrics of the following themes for quilts to make in 2009... Golf (masculine), Avlyn's Bravest Dragon, and 6.5" I-SPY/ABC Squares.

Blues, Greens, Brights, Heather Ross Gnomes and Fishies + Coords, Kawaii Fabrics (Hedgies and mushrooms), Strawberries (Vintage Strawberry Shortcake), Dragons and Knights, Kerropi - the Sanrio frog, Dark Semi-Sweet Chocolate and Caramel
