Apparently it's a massive trigger when people don't spell my name correctly. Please, when you are mailing, double check my name. I've checked. I spelled it right. If you aren't sure feel free to contact me about it. Thank you.
I admit, I'm a bit of a flake where memory comes in for responding to my current pen pals. Real life likes to throw me curveballs on the daily. But I LOVE getting non-bill type stuff in the mail (who doesn't?) and I never expect to get something without sending too. Cross my heart I won't sign up to a swap that I cannot complete.
I'm new to this site, but it was recommended to me through NaNo Postcard Swap so I'm here and it looks like fun.
I only speak and read english and I am down right ignorant when it comes to using the thingy that lets you use alternate alphabets on your computer (I know it's there, and that's about it) so anything written needs to be in either english OR something I can type into google translate.
I can, and will, use google translate for other languages if the need arises BUT of course that's no guarantee that the translation will be spot on.
I have an ecclectic and mood based taste in music, so no favourites. I can read music, and I play the piano - for fun, so not all that great.
I read both for enjoyment and education so there's a range of books that I enjoy. The only book that has ever sat for any length of time (almost thirty years now) is The Hobbit. I have a lot of memories tied to the book and the story (no I haven't seen the movie yet) and its one I can re-read over and over and still enjoy.
Horror. I don't even care if its well done, so long as it isn't pretentious. When I say pretentious I mean doesn't present itself as Academy Award Winning and turns out to be a BXXX or worse.... So long as I know which part of the genre it falls in I'm golden.
First of all, I haven't had 'TV' in a long time. SO... Netflix is my friend. What I'm watching tends to be fluid, it changes based on mood and how much time I have to sit and enjoy it, and so favourites are the ones that I can re-watch and not lose enjoyment. Firefly is one of those. MASH. Star Trek sometimes. I also think I enjoyed The Haunting of Hill House, but I'm not sure? Hoping for a second season to make up my mind. I also enjoyed Lucifer way too much and I'm glad Netflix picked it up.
To Do: fabric, paper and string
To Watch someone else do: Wood carving.
I also enjoy trying new crafts. I've done an acrylic painting or two, I've dabbled in bead work, I was a writer and hope to get back to that as a craft...
Most of my paper crafts involve cards, envelopes and post cards that I sell at Craft Sales. I have also started to dabble in pinatas.
I am open to people asking me questions about anything. I may choose not to answer (religion and politics tend to just turn into fights no matter what) but so long as the question is worded respectfully I'm usually fine with it.
Asking me questions also helps me to adjust my profile.
QUESTIONS:
Thank you camelsamba for the Zines! Now I know what they are, look like, how to fold/cut them BUT these aren't done by hand. What programs do you guys use to make them? Have decided to argue with Word until someone tells me what they use. :)

Just wanted to let you know I've sent your grabbie postcard tag today. It's coming from England so might take a couple of weeks to arrive. I also love Firefly so couldn't resist the picture. Shiny!
Thank you for the lovely postcard for the Nh-tag
