UPDATE April 2025:
Eleven years ago, not long after my Mom died, both my cats died and I had to have surprize major surgery, I dropped off the map and dropped all the balls. Apparently I was in 12 swaps at the time and failed to send them anything, so now I have twelve 1s. I've just written to the 8 people still on this site, offering to send replacements for the missing swaps, as well as a new piece of their choice. (Only 11 years late! A new record!)
After recovering from surgery, I've spent the last 7 years as a Perpetual Traveler outside the US. Now, from May 2025, I'll be back in the US for five months and would love to do some mail art trades. Swapping mail art is one of the things I've missed while moving from country to country.
I promise I won't miss mailing any swaps!
............................. WHAT I LIKE AND DON'T LIKE:
I don't like anything plastic, PINK/cute or violent/insulting.
I do like edgy or challenging work.
I love bright colors, as well as quiet earth tones. My favorite colors are mostly warm:: red/orange/yellow/rust, apricot, mustard, tan, brown, purple, spring green (like new grass).
I write poetry and make quilts, collages, linoleum cut block prints, and pyzanki (Ukrainian-style decorated eggs). I like abstract geometrics, the surreal and the whimsical, especially visual puns. I love to laugh!
If that doesn't help you figure me out, here are some images I would enjoy receiving:
Thank you for sending me something fun!
