Hi, my name is Dawn. I have a rubber stamp and paper addiction... I mostly like to make cards and paper dolls :) I do a bit of drawing and journaling, but that is newer for me. I recently started making junk journals.
I belong to a stamp/card club and we get together to make cards. I used to belong to an art club and we had swaps, but we haven't met since the pandemic -- now we just send each other birthday or holiday cards in the mail. I also used to belong to an online Paper Doll Swap group. So, I missed swapping and really enjoy Swap-bot!
(I would never want someone to think I "flaked" on them, so if a couple of weeks go by and I don't see a rating, I message to see if maybe it wasn't received and I should resend. I hope that is okay. It's not the rating that concerns me, just that I will be a flake-outcast lol!)
I love fairy gardens and miniatures. Although my miniatures are store-bought, I do sometimes embellish them myself with moss, etc.
I can't sew, but am a seamstress wannabe! I love pretty fabrics and lace and try to add them to junk journals. I also horde old sewing supplies like needle books and buttons cards.
I enjoy receiving any type of handmade card/postcard/ATC/etc., but also appreciate store-bought cards with or without handwritten notes:) Always happy to receive snail mail of any kind! And always amazed at the beautiful and fun envelopes I receive. I keep everything! :)
I used to read a lot of mysteries and historical fiction, but lately really into fantasy and the re-telling of fairy tales :) Love Night Circus and Spinning Silver types of books.
I usually watch old black and white movies, especially "film noire."
Downton Abbey for sure! Also, The Crown and Victoria... Anything with beautiful clothes and scenery :) And of course sitcoms are always good when you need a laugh :)
I work in a billing and collections office. My boyfriend and I have been together for over 20 years, no children.
I enjoy living where there are four seasons (although it seems our winters are getting milder), and am fortunate to have a park in our city that is really beautiful -- trees, lakes, a waterfall. I usually walk or do a very slow jog -- my running days are over LOL!
And I love animals! My boyfriend, my mother, and my sister and I all feed and/or take in stray cats >^..^<
I love coffee, tea, and chocolate :) I love to go to a coffee shop or bakery!
I have enjoyed seeing other swappers A-Z lists and decided to make one too!
