Hi my name is Deanna, from Canberra, Australia. I am 22 and have been sewing since I was 8. I work in a patchwork shop and absolutely love getting to spend my days surrounded by fabric! I am also a Girl Guide Leader in my local area and teach kids basic sewing.

I joined as a swapper to generally reach out to people a bit more, I'm a bit of a homebody when I'm not at work, but it also give me a great excuse to make and receive lovely things! If you get me to swap with, I would love to know about where you are from and anything exciting happening to you or your area. I am allergy free, but not a huge fan of nuts in general. As a Guide leader I am always looking for new things for my group to learn about, make or see, if you have any badges I would be so excited to see them! Really anything is Fantastic. I can wait to get started!! :D

Any and All!! I love my iPod, it is one of my most favourite possessions! Lately I find that I hear a song that I love so I will buy the album and listen to it on repeat for a week, so by the time the songs make it to the radio I know 90% of the lyrics and i can sing along to them in the car. It really annoys my mum! :P I am currently listening and loving, OneRepublic's Native Album, The Script's No Sound Without Silence and Taylor Swift 1989. I like pretty much everything though.

Netflix is the best isn't it? I am so glad to have it because I love my movies! Pretty much anything you throw at me I will watch (except scary horror, not my cup of tea). I love superheroes so Marvel films are in my top favourites at the moment. Also love old school movies, my Mum and I have a shared love of old musicals and Shirley Temple.

Netflix again! I have been getting back into some old favourites of mine, like Heroes and House and some cute cartoons, as well as some new stuff Netflix originals etc. I am also a great fan of Glee when it was on and I was a bit sad when it ended. Also I am a super nerd so Doctor Who, Star Trek and Sherlock are staples in my house!

I am an all around creative and maker. I have been a stitcher since I was 8 but I love all kinds of craft! I have done cross stitches and tapestry, canvas work and crochet, though I can't knit to save my life... I have also studied visual Arts as both a Photographer and Painter but I haven't done much recently (trying to get back into the swing of things!)

Most recently have been stitching along with the 1930's Farmer's Wife since it started and I'm lucky enough to be in a sewing group held with an amazing coordinator Gnome Angel! During this project I have journeyed into Foundation Paper Piecing and am loving it, I'm really happy to be learning while making. My favourite blocks so far are definitely #1 Addie and #24 Coral, I am very into stars at the moment! Working in a Patchwork shop for me is both amazing and terrible. Amazing because I get to see all the great patterns, books and fabric as soon as they're unpack but terrible in I can never choose a favourite and I spend all my wages. :P So far the main theme across most of my fabric stash is 'Bright!' I love all bright colours and quirky prints. I don't really have a least favourite, if it suits the project I'll use it.
