Here I am! I can summarize myself in a sentence: female that tries to be artistically creative but gets lured away by having a logical mind. I like to work in my art journal (it's actually usually experimenting), draw, mixed media projects. Working on an oil painting project which is interesting. I work in healthcare so I'm also greatly interested in anything medical/science (reading about new treatments/medicines, reading about various studies results, etc.). I love any clothing with lace and/or contrast. My favorite skirt is a floor-length bright pink satin material covered with a layer of black lace. I adore the steampunk and victorian/gothic fashions even if I tend to resort to tank top and jeans most days. I try to avoid buying new things, preferring to shop at Goodwill or other thrift stores. I also tend to donate a lot back to such places.

I like all books. Well, all fictional books with a few biographies thrown in. I used to spend a lot of time roaming used bookstores. Favorite authors: Robert Jordan, Brandon Sanderson, Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Anne Rice, Robin Hobb. I tend to download any free kindle books I can get.

Crafts! I like to crochet things for friends; everything from baby blankets and baby hats to beanies and fingerless gloves for adults. I've also managed to make leg sleevings for a friend's dog! I like to hand-sew simple things such as napkins, small stuffed animals. I'm also working on a lap-sized crazy quilt which entertains me for hours at a time. It's great because nothing has to match! I have multiple art/mixed media journals going. I also have a catch-all book: kind of like a regular journal with calendars and drawings and paintings scattered in it (I keep one such book each year; it's interesting to see what I find worth writing down later).

Dislikes: I have no children so I really try to avoid picking up any baby-themed items. Wearable things I can give away to others but scrapbooking items I end up either passing on during other swaps or giving to goodwill.

I like the unusual: art with a darker theme, stickers with insults, weird animal/knit hats, business cards (sometimes they make good accents on a page), mini spray bottles (can never have too many). I'm always in need of art supplies: pens, pencils, erasers, paints, papers. I adore small boxes (not that I usually know what to put in them). And blank notebooks, all sizes and kinds - I just adore notebooks! I've also developed a passion for collecting little jars or miniature bottles. I find them great for tea candles or holding pretty little gemstone chips.
