I am a current university student studying Mathematics and Microbiology. I love all things science and maths related, I can do most types of rubix cubes, and my mum teases me that my wishlist for holidays is mostly composed of books and science gadgets.
I grew up in Hawaii and this is my first time being in the middle of the continental US. I miss Hawaii terribly, the culture, the food, etc but the mainland is growing on me. I tend to be incredibly shy at first but soon grow to be obnoxious, sarcastic, and I'd like to believe clever.
I work two jobs and am taking lessons so what little free time I get, goes to writing, reading, playing video games, and working out. I love to run and go on trails. I used to paddle competitively, dance hula, and surf in Hawaii and I'm trying to find something to take the place of those.
My list of favourite books and authors contain the discworld series, candide, elizabeth barret browning, jane austen, shakespeare, gone with the wind, I could go on for a while. I'm attempting to collect quite the little library for my apartment. (Even though I haven't moved into it yet I've already planned out my library, kitchen filled with tea cups, my living room set in a chemistry theme, etc etc)
I love video games, I play league of legands, skyrim, zelda, civ 5, ninokuni, portal, etc. I also love anime, I go to the conventions every year. I grew up in a Japanese culture so that's influenced me heavily and because of it my favourite foods are mochi, ramen, and sushi and I love cute Japanese trinkets.
As for movies I don't have a big preference, I really love musicals like music man and how to succeed in business without really trying but I also love foreign comedies like la chevre.
I play the piano, tenor saxophone, and the drums. I used to play the flute but decided it wasn't for me and am currently bothering my roommate into letting me practice on her guitar. So to put it simply, I like making music.
I absolutely love puzzles and riddles, and I have quite the thing for clocks. I have a pocketwatch I adore and there's just something about that intricate design of a watch that fascinates me.
At my college I participate on the debate team, honours society, chemistry club, ballroom dance team, and mathematics club.
I have several pets (two betta fish and a guinea pig) who I adore and I plan on getting an Australian Shepherd when I have the room.
I love reading and writing letters, I have a blog on the topic, so I'd love anything like stationary, envelopes (I prefer older looking stuff, but whatever works since right now I don't really have anything), stamps, fountain pen, wax for seals, etc. I'm practicing calligraphy and one can never have too many nibs, ink, etc.
I also love to read so any book would be loved, I'm open to any type but classics and sci fi are sure to make me happy.
As for teas, I love tea but have only really tried green tea and some peach and raspberry teas which I love. So I'd love to try new flavours. (I don't like breakfast tea or darker teas)
Hmm, I don't know what else to say about me >.
