Hello! My name is Anna, and I've loved snail mail ever since I was little. My mom wrote letters to many friends all around the world, and I always enjoyed looking at all the postcards, photographs, maps, tourist pamphlets, and other fun things they would send her. Of course I followed in her footsteps and started snail mailing too. This site looks like a lot of fun, and I'm excited to get started!
I live with my husband, two sons, Aussie mix dog, and talkative black cat. I'm friendly, but also an introvert and a bit of a recluse. My husband and I relocated to a new area four years ago, and I still haven't gotten out to meet anyone. You might think that sounds sad or strange, but I actually enjoy it! It's remarkably freeing to be somewhere new, and develop as a person without pressure from others. :) I entertain myself easily with books, little projects, and researching topics that catch my fancy. I enjoy social interaction of the written kind, especially with people who carry conversations and love talking about themselves and their days. Even if I don't respond to every single detail I really do love reading it all. Chatty letters feel almost like a journal sent back and forth to each other. You can get to know the other person really well without feeling like you're interviewing them. My childhood best friend and I write to each other this way, and I still pull the old letters out from time to time and read them again because they're such a pleasant little narrative of her daily life through the years.
If you ever don't get something from me that you are supposed to, PLEASE let me know so I can fix it. I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to being on time for things and responsibilities, and would never be late or leave someone hanging intentionally.
