I am living in the Austin area with my husband and dog (Norwegian Elkhound). I studied industrial design but my goal is to become an illustrator and I love drawing. My hobbies include cooking, comics, books, crafts, and movies. In fact, I am currently obsessed with making bento boxes (Japanese lunchboxes) and my flickr site is mainly composed of food photos.

I love reading fantasy and children/young adult fantasy (I also love reading cookbooks and am developing quite a collection).

Things I like: - goldfish, dogs - animals in general - anything food related (stuff shaped like food, new snacks/ingredients, cookbooks, cooking tools, etc.) - functional items (like book covers, bags, stamps, containers, etc.) - comics and comic related items - vinyl toys - art supplies - softies (animals, food items, crazy creatures, etc.)

Things I don't like: - perfume - candles - bath soaps (although, I don't mind the occasional hand-made soap/beauty product) - cosmetics (except for lip-gloss/chapstick, I use these religiously) - earrings (My ears aren't pierced) - frilly embellishments/bedazzled items; not a big fan of glitter, glittery items, or frilly lace (unless it is in use as a costume)

Classical, oldies, soundtracks, pretty much anything except country and most hiphop/rap.

Anything animated - Miyazaki, Pixar, and Disney(2D). Most fantasy/scifi (LOTR, Harry Potter, Willow, Star Wars, Serenity, Total Recall, Terminator, Alien, Galaxy Quest, etc). The list goes on and on.....

Japanese crafts, crochet (particularly amigurumi), sewing (I love softies and bags/purses), bookbinding (and anything associated with books), stamp-making, screen-printing, and anything else I feel like trying out.
