Although I am a newbie to this forum, as of Aug. 2, I have participated in about 25 ATC/LTC swaps on Atlasquest.com. (letterboxing trading cards). I have hosted 3 completed swaps of 15 to 20 or so people, and have 3 others in progress. I only host one per month, so I can give it full attention.

Artistic interests: letterboxing trading cards (these are like ATCs, only they encorporate a hand-carved stamped image as part of the card design.) I have had 4 of my LTC's published in a letterboxing magazine. I also like ATCs, fine arts, water painting (OK I LOVE waterpainting), acrylics, drawing, rubber stamp carving, ceramics, embossing, various ink techniques. I prefer works that represent nature, animals, ocean creatures,everyday life, landscapes/seascapes, city scapes, humanity, cheerful Steampunk, humanity and moods. (Peaceful, cheerful, bold and exciting, longing, dreaming, love, etc). I prefer fine art medium, handcrafted, over a lot of pre-made craft embellishments.

Would like to learn: Jewelry making, glass fusion, working with alcohol inks and other ATC techniques, working with wood and metal.more watercolor and acrylic techniques, mixed media, book making.

No thank yous: I'm not interested in Victorian style images (Cupids, babies, decoupaged ladies in high collar dresses, hearts and lace), or religious images (although do I like spiritual/inspirational) , political themes, dark, creepy, depressing or evil. I'm not a big fan of a simple collage, if it is all magazine pictures, etc. I prefer it to have some other elements.

Hobbies: letterboxing, geocaching, art, reading, travel, the outdoors, photography, fitness, science

Colors of themes I would enjoy: Natural colors, greens, blues, tan, browns. Color combos: Natural greens or blues mixed with a little persimmon or dark orange. Bright and cheery multicolored Ocean, tropical, beach, organic materials, horses, butterflies, birds, tropical fish, Florida animals, any animals

I was in the Navy, and would enjoy the old style Navy poster girls/Waves/Rosie the Rivetter, WACS, etc. modestly to slightly flirty dressed.

MY KIDS Sarah is 7 and in 2nd grade. Fave colors PINK. She also likes red, blue, pastels, purple. She loves HoRSes, and has been takkng English riding lessons for a year. She also loves dogs, cats, pandas and other animals. She loves Justin Beiber and Big Time Rush. She likes stickers, especially animals. Teeny tiny stickers are nice.she also carves rubber stamps and makes ltcs. She would love tiny embellishments, stickers in sets of 20 of same or similar, since our stamped ltc/atcs are often traded in sets of 20. She is a horder of tiny art supplies, erasers, cool Pp pens and pencils, jnkpads, etc. she is not into jewelry, but does like the color changing, mood rings and necklaces. She loves cute socks, she wears a kid size 1.
If you have something native to your area, that is a small toy or collectible, she wojld enjoy those. She loves the little bobble head wooden animals. She also loves hair accessories for very straight hair. She is half Filipina. She loves nail art stickers, polish, too.

My son is Justin, age 9, probably will NOT be swapping!!

But just in case... He likes video games, airplanes, war related things, MINECRAFT and fighter jet games are faves. Fave color is GREEN. He plays soccer, he skimboards, and violin. He likes to read Percy Jackson books. He doesnt like crafts, art, stickers. He DOES like foreign money. He likes natural things like rocks, crystals, bugs in amber, sharks teeth, fossils, indian arrowheads.

I rate based on timeliness, corresponcence if more than a few days late, please let me know.repeated tardiness will be noted, though. I do expect some effort, any ATC sent should take more than ten minutes to complete, with some kind of hand made, hand drawn or designed component. If it is ALL scrapbook embellishments, it is a storebought hodge-podge, not art. Some embellishment is fine, as long as it is not all from a kit. You don't have to send me things to my taste, just something that you enjoyed making! For most ATCs, I will put a lot of thought into them, planning, even buying specific materials. Making them might take me another 1 to 4 hours, depending on how many steps I need to do. I take pride in my work, and will try to send you something you will like or at least appreciate.

So please realise I won't just whip something up in five minutes, and do something you would be happy to receive.
