Hello!! I am a college studdent at Oakland University in Michigan-Go Grizzlies!! I am currently working towards getting my degree in Film Aesthetics and History. Every since I was a little girl I have had an interest in all things old and vintage. I enjoy spending my time shopping, whether it's for antiques, clothes, or purses/shoes! I love finding a bargin and usually only shop in the clearance racks! My favorite color is yellow.
Rebecca, Gone With The Wind, The Wizard of Oz, Ditry Dancing, The Prize Winner, Scoop, Now and Then, The Notebook, Wedding Crashers, Just Like Heaven, A Walk To Remember, Riding In Cars With Boys, Hope Floats, The Departed, Mr. Mom, Baby Boom, Breakfast At Tiffanys, Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, How To Marry A Millionaire, Rear Window, Rebel Without A Cause, Giant, East of Eden, All About Eve, The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, A Letter To Three Wives, and the list could go on. I love the classic black and white ones or anything Hitchcock! Anything retro or pre 1970's.
Scrapbooking, Sewing, and Knitting
I am always on a search for copys of out of print films I can't find anywhere. Right now, my most saught after film is called The Mountain Eagle and Waltzes From Vienna both directed by Alfred Hitchcock. They are the only ones left that I need to complete my collection of all his 53 films! If anyone knows where I can get this PLEASE PLEASE let me know!!!
Aside from films, I am always in search of vintage(sometimes retro) homegood items. I love old ad prints from magazines from the 1940's and 1950's for a silverware company called Community. I like these ads because they usually have a bride on them or some WWII couple. Aside from the silverware ads, I like anything about sewing or make-up!!
I am slighlty obsessed with dishes!! I have a growing collection of Depression Era dishes in all different patterns (I'm trying to keep in the same color range of green) as well as Jadite dishes (mixing bowls are my favorite)!!
I have just gotten into collecting vintage linens including: full aprons pre-1960, tablecloths, dish and tea towls(pre-1960), and anything else for the table i.e. table runners, placemates, etc.
SOME OTHER VINTAGE THINGS INCLUDE:
Magazines pre 1960
rinestone pins
purses
glass milk bottles
tins (recipe box/picnic basket)
silver plated flatware
vintage pre-1960 Christmas Ornament
vintage sewing patterns
vintage fabric (or vintage inspired)
