February 2016: My partner received the all clear from his cancer treatments and although the treatments have had a big change on him, he is doing very well!

September 2015: And just when I thought I was ready to get back into everything my partner of 14 years has been diagnosed with cancer! Hopefully next year is a better year and I will get back to swapping!

Update: August 2015

I finally took a trip "home" I got to meet my 2 beautiful grandchildren and lay flowers on my granddaughter Harper's grave. I wish I had had the chance to meet her. I am expecting another granddaughter in October and should be busy making her a quilt but I have been a bit lost for what I want to do. I took a long break from swap bot as the shipping costs were just getting to be too much. Now I see all these swap that are based in the USA only and that makes me a little sad.

I plan to create some swaps once I get my sewing room reorganized!

I love sewing! I do mostly quilting but love craft sewing as well as mending or restyling clothing. I am mostly interested in fabric swaps but will try anything once! I think the swap-bot concept is a very innovative idea and I look forward to being a active member! I am American and have been living in Australia for 5 years. I have 3 kids and am Ami (grandma) of 2. Cheers!

So I was told I need to add a bit more to my profile i.e. likes & dislikes - I am a very easy going type person and believe it or not i am having a hard time figuring out what I don't like. I am a very busy person and fill my time with things that bring me joy. I have collected a few post cards - but don't want to be in a post card swap right now. I buy lots of Christmas cards and don't seem to get around to sending them - so I could be tempted into a Christmas card swap. I like cards that are for every day - just to say hey - I love you - I miss you - You're Great etc. But Mostly I would be interested in Fabric swaps Mostly cottons. I have a large collection that I have gathered for an I-Spy Quilt but would like to swap some around to also make the grands each one uniquely. I am not a huge computer person so I am out of the loop with a lot of the lingo, but I do enjoy doing email swaps. Would be interesting to do a clothing swap one item for one item and doesn't have to be new just in GOOD wearable condition! Another one I'd like to do is swaping Quilt/Sewing Patterns!
