Hi my name is Jacqui and I'm from Adelaide, Australia. I'm married with 4 (mostly) grown boys, 3 of whom still live at home. It's fair to say our house is bursting at the seams! My profile might be fairly brief at this stage, as I'm brand new to swap-bot. I'm sure I will add to it with time, as I get to know my way round. In my spare time I enjoy reading, baking, bush walking/hiking, post crossing, writing letters, going to the movies, spending time at the beach, spending time with family and friends, and just enjoying life in general.
Favourite books is such a hard one, as there are so many. I like most genres, apart from romance or scifi. I love a good thriller, one that keeps me guessing with lots of twists and turns. I also love comedy, and autobiographies.
All time favourites include Shawshank Redemption, Good Will Hunting (RIP ROBIN Williams, very sad news) good Aussie classics - the Caxtle, Muriels's Wedding, and anything with Toni Collette.... She's amazing
Guilty secret... I love reality television. Survivor, Big Brother, cooking shows, the bachelor anything with a bit of drama....., but don't tell anyone :)
I'm enjoying smash books at the moment, and journalling. I like to knit, but never seem to finish anything. I think the lure of crafts is collecting all the bits and pieces that go together... I love the collecting :)
Cats, dogs, animals in general, stationery, bits and pieces, coffee, the colour green, the colour orange, chocolate, dragonflies, travelling, (newly discovered passion) inspirational quotes, laughing, reading recipes (a favourite past time) sparkly things, beads clips etched.
I like all sorts of music, in particular good old Australian bands, Cold Chisel, Powderfinger, INXS,. There's not really any style of music that I don't like, I can pretty much listen to anything, apart from the death/thrash metal that my son likes... I fear I may be getting old, as I can hear myself saying the same things as my parents "that's not music"
