Collage/assemblage art is my thing...stuff I tend to use a lot (and could always use more of!): velvet ribbon, rick rack, glass/crystal beads, found objects-all the little bits & bobs others toss aside, although I don't scrapbook, I use a lot of scrapbook elements (rub-ons!)and embellishments, quotes, old photos, things in miniature, buttons, fabric, office supplies (oh how they make my heart swoon!) - I do love paper but have received so much since I joined Swap-bot that I've removed it from this list - I know it's easy to send for postage but unless you have something truly unique, please hold off sending paper! Thanks!
The Harding Street Assembly Lab is the outworking of the creative energy of Joanna McGlothlin. She grew up in Rochester, New York and attended college in Lynchburg, VA where she now resides with her husband, the Mister, and cat, Milo McBean O’Shea Drake-McGlothlin Muffin Man Mueslix Malone Mileage. She discovered her loves of food and art at an early age. At times even trying to combine the two loves by eating crayons. Although disappointed by their flavor, she enjoyed their texture immensely. Cerulean blue will always be her favorite.
I'm a part of an instrumental rock band...The Late Virginia Summers and currently that genre is where my affections lie...Saxon Shore, Yndi Halda, The Appleseed Cast, Explosions in the Sky, Mogwai are a few that always on my playlist......
In no particular order: ...coffee...tea (a dirty Chai is my current favorite- it's Chai with a shot of espresso!)....Alice in Wonderland...the moon & stars...blue is my favorite color but red shows up in my work a lot along with butterflies and angels, although hearts have been popping up a lot recently too...high contrast color combinations...texture...stripes...cemeteries are my favorites places to take photographs...polaroids...I love my Print Gocco and use it to do a lot of the artwork for the band...Van Gogh...
My husband actually came up with the name The Harding Street Assembly Lab for band stuff he was doing...I've kept it because I like the idea of experimentation that comes with the word "Lab"...I'm always one to try new things and can usually find a way to use otherwise unwanted items so I hesitate to put anything in this category so this will be an ongoing/added to list....Strong scents (allergies!)...Kawaii and other assorted cutesy stuff....

Thanks for joining me. Wanna go book shopping together? I have none with flip parts...lol.
Wanna join the altered board book swap? I just joined it and there are not many in it so maybe we will get each other as partners. It could just be fun too.
Amy :)
I was just reading your blog. Love the "Little Black Eyes" story. Sad you have not written in so long though. The newborn baby in your last post is almost a year old.
Ooops! Forgot to thank you for the saltines on my wand swap comments. Lovely to meet a fellow saltine nut. Most people think I'm mad. I first became addicted in Baltimore when I found a takeaway place with wonderful Baltimore crab soup and saltines freely available to take away with the soup. Arrrgghhh, I filled pockets and bags! There's nothing even slightly similar in the UK.
Thank you for joining the Monthly ATC Swappers Group...Once this group really gets started I just know that we will all have lots of fun here...
Hi there! What do you make of the spring photo art swap? I am tempted to drop it since the chicky can't even be bothered to assign partners. Thoughts??
A :)
