About Me

I am a high school art teacher from Yale, Michigan. I am 41 years old, which I think is ridiculous and completely impossible. Lol.

My husband and I have 3 boys. Our oldest just started his Freshman year in college and our youngest is in 2nd grade. Our middle child is in junior high.

I love to read. On average I read about 10-15 books/month. I read purely for entertainment and do not prefer heady, intellectual books. I love to try new art techniques for personal artwork and for artwork that I can introduce my students to.

Favorite Music: Alternative, late 60's, early 70's

Favorite Books: Phantom Tollbooth, Dune series by Frank Herbert...basically anything science fiction

Favorite Movies: The Fifth Element, Dune, ...again anything science fiction. Also, About Last Night, St. Elmo's Fire, Breakfast Club

FavoriteTV shows: Modern Family and The Goldbergs

Favorite Crafts: Anything mixed media. I have been experimenting with alcohol inks and painting on glass. Encaustics are another avenue in art that I am experimenting with.

Other favorites: flavored black tea, chocolate, unique shaped pens, Dr. Who, sweettarts or other tart candies, old road maps, old dictionaries, chihuahuas, essential oils, anything science fiction, Wonder Woman.

Dislikes: magna, spiders, black liquorice, politics, politicians
