Er.. Hi! I'm a Creative Writing student at UH, and I found this site through a friend of mine and thought "Wow this is super nifty!"

I used to list this as punk, ska, psychobilly, etc. But really I like almost all music that isn't country, rap or metal. Primarily I still do like punk, ska and psychobilly, but I like anything that is played in minor, and anything with a piano it. Seriously. I'm such a piano whore. omgalso video game music and 8-bit music.

Anything by Vonnegut.

Anything by Neil Gaiman.

Just about anything classic.

Lovecraft is my personal hero.

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

The Book of Three, by Lloyd Alexander.

Everything by Cory Doctorow for serious.

Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn, by Tad Williams.

The Song of Ice and Fire, by George R.R. Martin.

And if I had to pick one more set, the Vlad Taltos books, by Steven Brust

Honestly if it's science fiction, epic fantasy, or is about nothing and everything, then it's for me.

I feel the need to mention that I like a great deal of non-fiction, mostly from thinkers that rail against the norm.

Read the above as: People like Orwell, Carlyle, John Stuart Mills, Carl Sagan, and other thinkers that make us question what we hold dear.

But generally, anything that's worth reading.
