I am an avid scrapbooker of many years. Love to do altered art projects using Tim Holtz products and all of his products are my favorite. I have a lot of his products in my stash. I'm always on the lookout for vintage buttons, vintage ribbons, old keys, old game pieces and little trinkets.
I am very passionate about Breast Cancer research and the cure. My husband's mom(whom I never had the pleasure of meeting) lost her battle to it and my Grandma also had it. So if it has a pink ribbon on it and they donate the proceeds to breast cancer, it's mine and it goes home with me.
Halloween is my all time favorite holiday. The gruesome is okay for decorating, but I like the "cute" ghosts, skeletons, spiders and jack-o-lanterns for scrapbooking. I love Tim Holtz's Halloween dies, stamps and embellishments. I also like Halloween because there is no pressure of having to get stuff done(buy presents, wrap presents, make cards, send cards, cooking, baking, running here and there). You decorate, make the kiddos costumes and go trick or treating. And I love to dress up also.
Favorite color is orange but I also like browns and greens. I can't say that I have a least favorite color because it all depends on the shade.
I love snowmen, even though winter is not my favorite season. I live in Nebraska so we get to experience the changes of the seasons. I guess if I had to pick, Spring would be my fave . I love Bumblebees they are my symbol for my boys especially my oldest.
I love vintage stuff, so when I get the chance to go "antiquing" I do. It's always fun to find old things that you can use in altered projects or just to use it for storing my scrapbooking stock.
My favorite breakfast food is stuffed french toast from IHOP, unfortunately the closest one is 300 miles away. My favorite food for lunch and supper is fettuccini with home made alfredo sauce with a glass of good wine. I love anything that's dark chocolate, bluberries and raspberries. Last year I found chocolate covered blueberries,(only availabe during Christmas time) they are the bomb the only improvement they could make is cover them in dark chocolate..oh yeah! I also like teas, my favorite is Chai, my unfave is any kind that is mint. I also drink coffee, but for me it's a little coffee with my cream.
I don't like the smell of cilatro and eucalptus. When it comes to scrapbooking, I don't like stickers. I think because when scrapbooking first got started that was the only thing available for embellishing. A couple years ago I donated all my stickers to our school, I can gladly say the kid's loved them.
One thing I would love to start doing in the future is taking trips with my best friend. But until our kids are all out of the house, or like she says "we need to win the lottery", we will have to settle on our short trips.
I love classic rock. I didn't grow up(musically) in the 70's but I love the music. 80's music is second runner up, yes I did grow up in the 80's and YES I had BIG hair!!! Really who didn't! Lol
My all time favorite rock group is DEF LEPPARD!
During the holidays I love to listen to Trans Siberian Orchestra, Mannheim Steamrollers and The Nutcracker.
My new fave show Duck Dynasty! I love American Restorations (it's so cool to see the vintage items restored and Rick is pretty easy on the eyes), Storage Wars, Pawn Stars and Billy The Exterminator (which replaced The Crocodile Hunter for me).
Scrapbooking and altered art using Tim Holtz products. It's a lot more fun scrapping and altering when you can get together with your friends. We have a lot of the same tastes so we can share our stuff.
The Lorax, Puss In Boots, Rio, A Christmas Story(You'll shoot your eye out kid). I will watch it all day on Christmas Day!
On my dark side(we all have one lol) I like Underworld and Blade. I don't like all the blood and gore but Vampires kind of intrigue me and I don't know why.
I am married and have three boys who keep me very busy along with my cat, two dogs and four geese. As stated previously I live in Nebraska, born and raised in a medium size town. My best friend and I have been friends for over 40 years. (She's the one who got me started on swap-bot thank you best friend!) I have had many ups and downs in my life but one thing I have learned from them all.... life is to short so live it to the fullest!
