Hi there,
I'm a newbie here and so happy to discover this swap-world. I would like to ask you to be indulgent if I do something wrong concerning the swap instructions and message me if it happens, when it is related to an electronic swap, because I'm just wishing to do my best to bring some joy to the swap partner and my computer and I do not always get along!
I’m a foreign language teacher from Spain living in France since 2009. My passions are drawing, travelling (mostly to Japan), music and arts. Cooking for my loved ones is always fun, as much as discovering new horizons and new people. Crafting and writing letters was something I used to do in my teens and getting back to it through snail mail and swaps is a fresh new start!
Almost any kind of music! I’m a real music lover and always keen on discovering new styles, bands or singers. As Spaniard I love Spanish pop but I grew up listening 50’s and 60’s when I was an early teenager and then came the 70’s and 80’s. Orbison, The Beatles, Queen, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Mamas and the Papas, Aretha Franklin for the English speaking, and some French and Spanish ones fro the rest. Then I run into the 90’s and If I had to pick 1 exclusively it would be K’s choice who had accompanied me thorough hard and happy times. (But i like Quote a lot Britpop bands too).
Nevertheless classical music has a very special place in my heart: one of my youngest souvenir is with Brahms and his Hungarian Dances.
Lately I’ve re-discovered folk and New Age music, I’m currently in a softer music trend (it’s nice to draw and write with).
Watercolor Painting DIY stationery Writing (is this considered as a craft? I’m not English native speaker...) Cooking (that’s art-craft for me 🤗)
Scandinavian thrillers like the Millenium Saga Japanese contemporary literature (Haruki Murakami is one of my favorite writers) Spanish literature Latinamerican literature : Gabriel Garcia Marquez one of my faves too! Harry Potter
I’m a kind of stationery addict (specially the Japanese and Korean one) and so much in love with my Travelers Notebooks and Hobonichi’s Journals! I rather write with fountain pen than regular ball pen and love keeping pieces of papers and other stuff to recycle and create new things.
I recently started to carve my own stamps and paint my own wrapping paper. And recently too discovered the vintage stationery (like old postage stamps and papers) love those!!! But I guess I could renounce to all my stationery for my watercolors and the perfect watercolor paper.
Documentaries (mostly historical or about gastronomy) K-Drama (all of them!) TOkyo dinner Midnight stories Gourmet samouraï
Likes: Tea Coffee Chocolate Cheese Yoga yarns and ribbons washi tape and washi stickers vintage ephemera rubber stamps Laughing and making others laugh Travel around the world The sea and the ocean the smell when it rains The autumn (its colors, its veggies and fruits, the sky) Red-purple-green color Gastronomy from everywhere but specially the Japaese and Korean ones. The silence in the early morning when I sit at my crafty-desk and everybody is still sleeping. Sing (under the shower, with my students, in the car, with my friends).
Dislikes: fluorescent colors, when somebody yells at someone, the absence of light during the winter where I live, when someone judges hastily, to have cold feet, lack of time to do things (depending on the period), when I'm sick (well... nobody likes that, right?😉)
