Lavenderfields

I am a stay at home wife of 28 years. My dh works in defense industry which settles us in the high desert. Desert living is very hard on you body and home life, it is very, very dry. It is much easier handling the heat, but it is more difficult to stay hydrated.

We have 6 children, 3 in college and 3 I am currently homeschooling. I love having the kids home and learning right along with them. I hope when they grow up they have great memories.

I enjoy a lot of different books. My favorite authors would be Jane Austen, Elizabeth Goudge, and Rumer Godden. I also enjoy reading children's books that I never read as a child. Anne of Green Gables, Little House on the Prarie, The Chronicles of Narnia, etc.

I don't watch many movies, although I do enjoy musicals

I enjoy most crafts, sewing, a little be of knitting and crocheting, scrapbooking, and am currently interested in felting, but have not tried doing that yet. I really like working with natural fabrics.
