All swaps have sent out but If you haven't received anything from me, please message and I will get back to you.
Also, if you think I missed rating you on something, please let me know as well. Thanks for your understanding.
I take swapping very seriously and put a lot of effort into what I send out. I appreciate communication and will do so before rating etc.
I'm Lisa and am from a small country in the warm and sunny Caribbean called Trinidad and Tobago. I have always been a lover of all things artsy...drawing, painting, cooking and now crafting.
My small family - husband and daughter together with our pets form our home circle. We've got 2 doggies - a husky mix and a dachshund together with 1 bunny, 1 turtle and some fish. Add to that Bruce the bat that visits us every day and the birds in our garden ...I think you get the idea that I am crazy about animals. I am pretty simple and am learning how to leave my perfectionist tendencies behind me :) I am a christian. Crafting is something I love love love and am re-discovering my artistic abilities. Right now I am on a journey to learn watercolour and calligraphy and am also learning to decorate cookies.
My family loves Swap Bot, and we are all invested in any swap that is sent and received.
WE ADORE HAPPY MAIL.
Music is like air to me....I love to learn about new music and fancy many genres from golden oldies in the 50s and 60s to classical or opera to calypso and soca from my home country. By now you would have heard the 2022 song, "Drink meh water and mind my business" by Patrice Roberts : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JqKWQ7FsuQY If not, check it out. It is our local calypso music and it is so cool that the world has been enjoying the vibe it brings.
We gather to watch talent shows like GOT TALENT or The VOICE from all countries.
I enjoy reading the bible and am learning so much as each day goes by.
Tess of the D'Ubervilles by Thomas Hardy, To Kill a Mocking Bird by Harper Lee, The Canterbury Tales by Chaucer are some of my favs.
I enjoy cooking shows :) Food channel is usually playing if I'm home alone.
I am just an optimist so I do love hallmark channel (surprise...surprise...)
The Murdoch Mysteries and Rookie are some of the shows we currently watch. Of course life would not be the same without the classics like The Three Stooges, I love Lucy, My Fair Lady , To Sir with Love etc. I'd love to know what you like to watch - please share as we love to discover new series etc.
I love to cook and experiment...my husband and daughter are my happy taste testers :)
Also having a daughter who is allergic to dairy makes it important to try new things so she can have as dairy free options .
COFFEE...i like ..well ok I LOVE coffee but i have made great strides into the tea zone...love fruit flavoured green teas - pomegranate pizzazz from Bigelow is my absolute fav. I like chai teas as well. I am experimenting with spices these days and take every chance to learn about other cultures through their cooking methods and ways they use the same ingredients to make an entirely different dish.
We do love watching Refika's Kitchen on You Tube. https://www.youtube.com/refikabirgul
I am not new to crafting (in terms of doing it) but am new to the grown up trends...so I am having much fun re-discovering everything. My daughter and I learnt about Kawaii...and have tried that. We are now totally into the paper crafts ...we're excited! Although I studied art in school earning a qualification, I am a big doodler and painter. I am re-discovering this part of myself...I adore mixed medias. My country focuses on traditional education and so art was a bit taboo but is ever so slowly progressing out. These days we are learning about junk journalling, traveller's journals, stuffed envelopes and flip books. We are into creating 3d craft projects as well. Update Feb 2022: We have gotten a cutting machine and are having fun learning what we can do.
Thanks in advance for reading this section!
First let me say, I am happy to receive anything that is sent to me with love and well wishes...it brings joy not only to me, but my family as well and for that I am grateful.
I am getting used to having a wish list that I share and in that light of that I have a simple list if you are able to send me something, but don't know what, I would really like to receive:
washi tape (in love with it)
ATC pockets (can't find in my country)
embellishments
die cuts (as i do not own any dies) or stamped images
Pens
gold or shaped paperclips
used or otherwise craft/rubber stamps
planner stuff
anything that you might think we could use for crafting
good places to shop for craft supplies esp for international crafters
There are so many things I can name :) , but here are a few of my favourites: - paperclips
different kinds of paper (textured/coloured/weights/materials etc)
colours: pinks, greens, blues, browns, purples, black, rainbow

vintage things
May 24th 2016 I live in the Caribbean and mail might be just a tad slow getting to us and getting out.
If you don't get a package from me, please let me know.
July 4, 2016 : we have been informed that Canada does not accept "registered mail" anymore. So anything sent will be unregistered.
July 20, 2016 : It takes approximately 3 weeks or more to get a package from my country. Going forward I will try to register every package sent (except where my post will advise that I cannot. I will advise my partner).
I have a little space where I share fun thoughts, my swaps, cooking tips and recipes etc. Please come by and say hi : https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sunshine-Coconuts-Blog/1621985361389606

Summer is coming to an end and with it, so is grilling season. One thing I enjoy about summer is grilling on the special holidays and sometimes in between as well. I will miss it once Fall arrives and the cooler weather arrives as well. But there is always next year!
I hope you like the pics and gifs that I have chosen for you!
Enjoy the rest of your summer!
Blessings,
Yvonne
