I am a wife, mother, and school teacher.

I have a wonderful husband and three awesome children. Robert is 15. Katy is 12. Stephen is 2. I have been married to Brian for 18 years.

I have taught Adult Education and High School Language Arts. I have spent the past 9 years teaching Middle School Literature, English, and Social Studies at a wonderful Catholic School.

Whether out of need or sheer interest, my favorite place to be right now is in the kitchen. I want to have all different kinds of spices and gadgets. I have a small cookbook collection, but prefer to have a recipe collection. I would like recipes sent on standard recipe cards or in a 4 inch by 6 inch format with any decorations or imbellishments. I am willing to send recipes in any format, just tell me what you like.

I am learning about the different spice and flavor combinations that make food specific to different parts of the world. I still have a long way to go in this learning process.

Italian is my favorite type of food to cook. A peer teacher is teaching me Puerto Rican flavor.

In addition to cooking, I love to bake. Who doesn't love a great dessert?! Cookies, cakes, brownies...I love them all. I can fill a pie shell, but have not mastered the pie crust.

I enjoy different types of crafting. I have worked on several scrapbooks. I made several nice jewelry pieces with beads. For two years I have mailed hand-made Christmas cards. I can rubber stamp, make wreaths and design basic flower arrangements. Tablescapes on my rarely used dining room table change with the season or occasion.

I love to read!!!

I read young adult literature so I can recommend books to my students. My favorte classroom past-time is reading aloud to my students.

I enjoy mysteries! I have read all of Mary Higgins Clark's books. With my love of cooking, it is no surprise that I enjoy Diane Mott Davidson. Nicholas Sparks is a wonderful writer.

I like fun movies. My most favorite is THE PRINCESS BRIDE. My favorite actresses are Julia Roberts and Sandra Bullock. My favorite actors are Matthew McConaughey, Hugh Grant, and Richard Gere.

I really like those movies that can make me laugh and make me cry. With a pre-teen in the family I enjoy watching all of the Disney musical hits. With a toddler CARS and ICE AGE top the list.
