Hi ! My name is Marcia. 2014 was a very crazy year, so I wasn't able to participate in swaps...but I am back ! I am in my 50's and I live central Connecitcut, in a big old house that requires too much work ! My goal for 2015 is to downsize....sell the big house for a smaller one, so as I age, I will not be so overwhelmed by the work and care needed in the property. My 82 year old mom lives with me....luckily we get along very well together. She has her friends and hobbies and I have mine, so while we have our time together, we both have outside interests and friends as well.

I have one son who is married and I am now the proud grandma of Karlynn was born May 2012. She is the something special in my life. :-)

During the warm months, I have a vegetable garden, so we have plenty of tomatoes, squash, peppers, carrots and radish to eat. I make my own spaghetti sauce and can it for the winter. This year, I will be attempting to make my own salsa from my garden veggies.

Travel is my passion. I budget very carefully so that I can take one nice trip each year. I have been to Ireland several times, Italy, Spain, France, U.K., China, Bermuda, Bahamas, Jamaica, Hawaii, on five cruises and to many of the U.S. states.

I enjoy spending time with my friends. We like to hike, try eating at new restaurants, going to the movies, having game night and visiting wineries...there are over 30 in my small state of Connecticut !

I LOVE to read ! I read every evening before I go to bed. I helps me to relax so I can sleep better. I keep track of my books on goodreads.com ... it helps me remember what I have already read. I enjoy reading almost anything....with the exception of romance. I am not a Harlequin-type girl.

I love to crochet baby blankets and in 2012 have started sewing again.

I do enjoy baking desserts...is that a craft ? :-) My favorite thing is a chocolate cupcake with peanut butter frosting. MMMMM.
