Hello! I am Mama Lisa...and I am new to the Swap-Bot world.
I have two etsy sites... www.MamaLisaDesigns.etsy.com and www.darlingdolly.etsy.com
"Little Lisa sat on Grandma Ruby's lap, her four year old little hands on top of Grandma Ruby's lovingly worn hands as together they guided the material through the old black Singer sewing machine. The hum of the machine belt, the feel of the fabric, the look of the beautiful colors of the fabric, and the smell of Grandma Ruby's rose perfume engulfed the two of them as they happily sewed together."
That is the opening line in the story of how I learned to love the handmade life. A special treat for me was to be allowed to open Grandma Ruby's sewing closet. There she kept yards of material, containers of thread, stacks of patterns for anything you could think of, and jars of colorful buttons! It would take my breath away to be allowed to touch the colorful material. In her wisdom, Grandma Ruby developed a game of mix and match for me. She would pull out several very different colored materials and have me match sewing thread, and buttons to them. As I got older, this game included picking out patterns and telling her just how I would use the fabric with which patterns. Little did I know that this innocent game of MATCH would help me years later as I design a purse or digitize embroidery designs. I will forever be thankful to Grandma Ruby for handing down to me the love of handmade creations. Many years ago my Grandma Ruby told me to always "put love into everything" I make. 46 years later, I still do just that! Whether it is a Heirloom Crochet Christening Gown for a new born baby, a littly design for a Blythe doll, or a wheelchair tote bag for that special grandfather in the nursing home, Mama Lisa Designs are "SOMETHING SPECIAL for your SPECIAL SOMEONE!"
SEWING... I've been sewing for 40+ years. Love making children clothes and that love has now turned into designing and making clothes for Blythe and Petites dolls. I love to mix mediums like my new line of dresses for Blythe called CroCute. CroCute is a combination of Crochet and fabric.

BUTTONS: I love any and all buttons. There are jars and jars of large buttons all over my sewing room However, since I've begun sewing for dolls, I need to increase the number and type of 1/4" buttons in my collection. Would love to have unique miniature buttons.
