Hello , I am Mieke, from the Netherlands. I am Catholic, mom of 6 grown-up kids and I have 3 granddaugthers. I am 67 and just retired from my job as a social worker on the 29th of February 2024. I live by myself with my 17 years old cat, and currently my daughters cat is staying with us for a while.

I like to read, Historical fiction and Cozy mystery and Fiction and vintage classics mostly. I love history, culture, art and nature. I walk every day, try to cook and eat healthy, regular work-out, and enjoy life as much as I can.

I drink coffee in the morning and love tea all day, all kinds, and wine on special occasions. As I said, I love all teas, however I would be special pleased to receive a smoked tea, like smoked Earl Grey. I prefer my tea in the original wrapping.

My hobbys are journals, and coloring books, multimedia artsy stuff, crosstitching, crochet, and sometimes knitting.

I like keep track of what I read and do , and decorate my pages. Currently I have a reading journal, a journal to keep track of my creative hobbies , a commonplace book, junk journal and a planner.

I like calendars, clocks,seasons, letters and words. I enjoy to go to museums, parks, the beach and to travel. My favorite era are the 20ties till the 60ties.

I love Begonias as houseplants. They come in so many differend colors and leaveshapes that there are always more differend plants to find to add to my collection.

I like mailart, vintage postcards, stickers, planner stickers, tea, recipes, bookmarks ,stationery, crosstitch floss, charts or smalls, and just something happy in my mailbox. For postcards I especially like etagami and postcards with women, books , teacups, food, pin ups, vintage advertisement, nature ,children book illustrations, art, museum postcards,and words.

For Halloween, I prefer the cute or children postcards
