My name is Amanda. I am the wife of a third generation farmer. My husband and I live and raise our family on the family farm and love every moment of farm life and all that it entails. We are members of the Free Will Baptist Church and are very active in the church, 4H and FFA. We strive on doing our best to teach and guide our children in the ways of our Lord God and not the ways of the world. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to serve our farm community children while teaching and working with our school district. I currently assist my husband on the farm in all farm duties. We raise poultry and have almonds. We currently have small herds of Dexter cattle, Boer goats, meat and show rabbits, and the kids have the 4H project pigs and FFA project lambs going. I love to garden, scrapbook, paint, create from "re-purposing" and love to cook. I collect egg coddlers, old cookie jars, cast iron cookware,old cookie cutters and chicken related items. My kitchen is eclectic, as is the rest of my home. All rooms are enhanced with natural tones, concentrating on blues, greens, browns, and burgundies. My floral choice for the inside of the home is sunflowers, daisies, hydrangeas, and ivys. I love warm and inviting decor, and tend to shy away from modern themed items. I also have a weak spot for kid and animal related statues for the home and yard. I am the lucky pet of 5 doggies. Yes, they tend to be the master, and I the pet. They range from 40 lbs to 100 lbs, and all are active on the farm and are loved members of the family. Lastly and most precious to me.... I am a Gammie to two. My granddaughter is turning one and my grandson in 6 months. I am very blessed with family and close friends. Life on the farm is never dull!

I am happy to say that I do like a variety of music. Country, gospel, jazz, easy listening and more. I am a fan of the early music of the 70's.

I love to read through cook books, old time craft and gardening books.

The "Love Comes Softly" series, "Where the Heart Is", and M Night Shyamalan movies.

TBN, Fringe, CSI, Star Gate and PBS

Scrap-booking, Candle and Soap making, Glass altering, Sewing, Doll making, Garden Creations (Hypertufa), Plant Propagation, Mosaic Creations, Quilting and so on and on and on :P

I love to harvest and save Heirloom seeds, teach about saving and planting seeds. I also love to teach about cooking, crafting, and budgeting. I am a 4H leader and am active in the Children's Ministry, Ladies Auxiliary, and Mission Projects in our Church.
