Hello there!
I'm getting back to this lovely hobby after two years of swapping silence.
I'm a 30-year-old woman who loves swapping, jewellery-making, polymer clay, drawing, scrapbooking, paper crafts and arts and crafts in general. I'm an expat, literature nerd, and a workaholic. :)
I'm originally Finnish & Swedish and have been living in both of the countries as well. After completing my MA, majoring in comparative literature and minoring in Japanese culture and art, I relocated to the Netherlands for work.
I love: books and poetry, arts, science, travelling, cooking, hand-crafting things, film festivals, medieval faires, black metal, folk music, singing, writing letters, writing fiction, jewellery-making, tattoos, MTG, playing video games, RPG's, Studio Ghibli, scrapbooking, martial arts, Japanese sword fighting, scifi, stamping, fairytales, folklore, Japanese myths and tales, the Vikings, Ireland, the Celts, the space, imaginary space crafts, fireworks, ancient China, ancient times, Earth, and all things dark and mysterious - to mention just a few interests.
I am inspired by Autumn, poetry, Midsummer's Eve, flowers, anything eerie, forests, trees, herbs, candles, oceans and sailing, islands, interesting craft blogs, old times, vintage, steampunk and art in general.
I am interested in making my swaps eco-friendly, which means I usually reuse packages. I hope this is not offending to anyone.
I make a lot of jewellery and small accessories using beads, polymer clay, lace, wire wrapping, chain maille weaving, felt work, fabric - you name it. I love to make huge brooches and hair accessories, big necklaces and dangly earrings. If I wouldn't have to go to work I would probably just sit in front of my desk and make jewellery all day long, sipping tea and listening to music.
Old keys and old photographs.
Anything vintage.
Cute badges and pretty brooches.
Fabric and buttons.
Anything mori or decora. I´m a mori girl by heart and was one even before I knew the name for it.
Anything with foxes!
Brambly Hedge.
Beads and findings unless plastic and especially lampwork.
Jump rings for chain maille.
Felt in any colour (bright and pastel colours preferred).
Cookie cutters.
Polymer clay and any equipment or supplies related to it.
Anything steampunky.
Anything Studio Ghibli.
Rubber stamps and ink pads.
Anything shamrock.
Old book pages, especially with pictures, any kind of sheet music.
Any craft magazines and/or books, used are fine!
Anything medieval: music, pictures, stories, equipment.
Anything with mythic creatures and animals on it - dragons, elves, goblins, dwarves, faeries, sprites...
Jewellery-making materials.
Kawaii items. My favourites are Milk, Rilakkuma and food with faces. Anything SanX. Sentimental Circus.
Anything art nouveau.
Anything witchy or mythology related.
Tea. My favourites are fruity teas, cinnamon, dessert teas and green teas.
Candy.
Postcards.
Brads. Vellum.
Used postal stamps.
Japanese items, especially related to art, food and sake. I am always up for a Japanese item swap.
Candles and scented items, incense sticks, herbal and aromatic oils.
Anything with cute animals, especially foxes and anything kawaii type.
Origami papers.
Anything that tastes of ginger!
Drink mixes.
Cotton fabric.
Anything fairy-tale related. My favourite stories are Pied Piper of Hamelin, Mossycoat, Tamlin, Snow White, Hansel and Gretel, Scandinavian folk tales, fables with fox-characters or bears, Ugly Duckling.
Anything ancient Egypt, Vikings or Celts.
Oh, and please do not feel restricted to these items/things. This list is here so that you'll have an idea of what kind of things I like. :)
Yellow. I am absolutely nuts about this colour - all the shades of it.
Green and blue colours that remind of forests, oceans and lakes. Especially marine blue, rich turqoise and all greens.
Earthy colours like olive green and rich brown.
Pastel colours.
Dollar-store cosmetics. I´m quite picky about make-up and beauty products. And goes without saying that I´d rather not receive products that have already been opened and used, unless it's books and magazines.
Holiday themed items. Unless it´s Midsummer!
2D/3D crafting papers.
