Hello there - I am a mummy of 2 - a boy and a girl. My husband is french, but we’ve been living in Germany for 7 years now.

I Love:

• Anything crafty: I used to scrap a lot and still do from time to time (with two little ones time is prescious though) I also paint quite a lot (I prefer acrylic paint and chalk) I recently started hand lettering and try improving on my writing skills a little bit every day! I make Waldorf dolls I make quite a lot of seasonal decorations from paper for around the house

• gardening: For right now we do cultivate our veggies spring through autumn, but we are planning on building a greenhouse and cultivate in winter also I also am currently reading a lot about roses and want to start cultivating them (any advice is always welcome !)

• baking:

since I am little I love love love to bake. I bake everything and anything - recently I have been inspired a lot by French pastry chefs ! I love the simplicity and elegance of their work !

• reading:

I will read anything from biography to science fiction. The only genre I am picky with are Thrillers and horror (not quite my thing - though i do enjoy a good police novel)

-science and experimenting:

I do a lot of science experiments with my kids - discovering and explaining nature with them and seeing those things once again through the eyes of a child is something I enjoy very much

• DIY : We do a lot of projects around the house ourselves. In fact, we do try to do as much as possible ourselves as we do believe in recycling and recently are experimenting a lot with the concepts of minimalism and zero waste - so that we will find a compromise that will fit our family.

-sewing:

I sew mostly children’s clothes and traditional bavarian clothing. For the children’s clothes I prefer working with jersey. But I am also interested in retro clothing so I will use regular cotton fabric a lot too.

-crocheting:

I have been crocheting for a little over 21 years now. For the most part I won’t use patterns but will crochet “freehand”.

What I do want to learn about still / future projects :

• soaping
• homemade cosmetics
• improve my knitting skills

If you’ve got any advice for me on those : they are very welcome and will be appreciated greatly !
