Hi All: My name is Alexis and I live in the woods of Alaska. I'm currently at student at the University here in Fairbanks; yes, I'm a glutton for punishment at my age. I'm getting a degree in Social Work. I'm currently a Substance Abuse Counselor, but not working in the field at the moment since I'm in school full time. I have two kids, ages 11 and 17. I have a wonderful S.O. who I'm truly blessed to be with. I think it's cool to have pen pals, and joining swap groups. I try to blog when I have the time. I love to read, and make handbags. I am currently beginning to make my own jewelry. I would move into the library if I didn't have any other obligations. :-) Books are my passion. Things that I do like are: Handbag jewelry, pens, key chains, notepads, magnets, flavored lip gloss, note cards, address labels, stationary, the color red, Anything with Emily Strange on it, cook books, candles, day planners, book markers, book thongs, Bento Boxes,Japanese fabric, ravens, hedgehogs, coffee cups, anything 18th century, and Japanese dishes (little containers and stuff), and Japanese spoons. I'm also a coffee hound. I like anything with coffee cups on it, such as pictures, clocks, stamps, stationary, notebooks, cards, that type thing. I don't use bubble bath stuff (I'm allergic), I don't collect shot glasses, or collector spoons, or stuffed animals.
Soundscape music, ambient, indian flute music, celtic music.
Agatha Christie movies, documentaries, anything scary really. Scooby Doo cartoons ~(the original ones from way back in the day), Dead Wood , ANY movie with Don Knots.
CSI, Cops, Courttv, House, Twilight Zone, Cash Cab, Keeping Up Appearances (BBC), First 48, City Confidential, Scooby Doo, anything with forensics in it.
Vintage crafts, bracelets, handbags, coin purses, Anything Chococat (not Hello Kitty though), felt, embroidery buttons, Retro crafts. Embroidery patterns, handbag patterns, Amy Butler patterns. ANYTHING in the Japanese craft books on the site: www.YesAsia.com :-) They are truly to die for.
