My name is Penny, I'm a 41 y/o (EEK) WAHM, married to Marc and have 3 wonderful children Victoria 16, Ben 10 and Reagan 4. When I turned 40 last year I decided instead of looking at life as 1/2 over I'd see it as an opportunity to do things I'd always thought about and wanted to do yet for whatever reason didn't. My first big thing was to start running, in September I ran my first 1/2 marathon (13.1 miles) in a pretty decent time of 2 1/2 hrs. I also started my own home based business. I LOVE to sew and create and so in order to feed my fabric addiction and justify buying it I decided to sew/ design and sell, it works out well for all concerned ;-)

I have a very eclectic music taste, anything from Bach to some of the modern day Punk.

Love to read, my all time favorite being 'The Poisonwood Bible' Written by Barbara Kingsolver. I've just finished 'Pillars of The Earth' Written by Ken Follett and am getting reading to read the sequel. I'm not big into Romance books, I tend to enjoy fiction novels based on truths.

Favorite movies are more the light hearted type, horrors give me such an adrenaline rush I find myself feeling nauseous throughout the whole of it, not a great feeling so I tend to keep away from them. I do like a good suspense drama... Love 'The Bone Collector' 'Pretty Woman' is a big favorite, I need to get out more and see some of the most recent releases though.

I'm not a big TV fan at all, I do however LOVE 'Criminal Minds' and make a point to watch it every week. I'm interested to see if 'Lipstick Jungle' turns out to be any good. I like some REality shows, 'Amazing Race' is my favorite, also like 'Wife Swap' 'Super Nanny' (I always get a new appreciation for my kids after watching an episode of that LOL )and Survivor.

Favorite crafts... Sewing, sewing and did I mention Sewing ? I sew anything and everything. I also enjoy making cards, when I have the patience and ceramic or painting on already crafted items. Love to do home decorating too and am always looking for a new home project.

Other interests include baking, cooking,travelling and gardening. I'm hoping to grow my own herbs this year, so if anyone has any pointers to share I'd love to receive them.
