I have always loved making things. My favorite right now is papercrafts. Cards, scrapbooking, ATCs, mini scrapbooks and anything else made from paper. I even love making new paper out of my paper scraps. I love coloring stamped images. I color with Prismacolor pencils and Copic markers, Gosh I love those markers. I love to sew. Although at one time I made most of my childrens clothes I now like to make things like handbags and toys. I love playing the Autoharp. I make sculptures out of polymer clay. I make jewelery, some with storebought beads and some with beads and things I make out of polymer clay. I love quilling, that is those little paper strips coiled and glued together to make a wonderful work of art. I am a happy person. I love people. I especially love the elderly. I worked many years as an Activity director at an Assisted Living Facility. I loved every minute of it, I was blessed each and every day by those wonderful folks. By the way, I worked with mostly residents that had Alzheimers disease or other related dementias. Yes I was blessed. I am retired now due to health issues, cant leave home much so I keep myself busy and happy doing crafts. I have 3 dogs, Sammy is a mini doxie with short hair. Oliver and Zoey are both doxies with long hair. I love them so much and they love me back.
I have a cat named Gimp, He is cool. I have one husband named Richard, He is cool too because he puts up with me. Just the other day he helped me change my living room into a craft room. Who needs a living room. Well that is about all for now. that is a bit about me.

I want to add that I have no favorite color. All colors are beautiful. I do LOVE butterflys. They are just beautiful. I am a happy person and cannot think of anything I dislike at all. So that is about all I have to add at this time. God bless you all.

Gosh I really love music, All kinds of music but depending what I am doing regulates what I listen to. Doing housework needs loud country. doing crafts needs celtic or indian flute. I guess Country and Bluegrass are my favorites. I also enjoy playing the Autoharp. Music can really calm the soul.

My all time favorite author is Nickolas Sparks. I have all His books, I read them over and over because they make me feel good inside. I also Robert James Wallar, I have now bought a Kindle Fire.. I am reading so so much. I am loving having a library at my fingertips. I am loving reading stories that take place in the 1800's.. I would have loved living in those years.

I am just now starting to watch movies. I guess its a retirement thing. But I do remember that I loved the movie "Bridges of Madison County" Maybe I will watch that one again sometime. I Like movies like "Fried Green Tomatoes" ya that was a good one. I like the old black and white movies. They too are some of my favorites.

Nothing favorite right now, although I do like watching crafting shows. HGTV is one of my favorite channels. Love watching the International house hunting show. (Don't remember the exact name of it) Very interesting seeing houses in other countries. Some are very different from those here in the states. Oh and I love watching the "Big Bang Theory"

Now we are talking. I LOVE crafts. My fave at this time is any kind of paper crafts. Especially cards and small scrapbooks. Making and trading ATCs is great as well. I love coloring stamped images. I like sculpting whimsical animals. Quilling is one of my favorite crafts and probably the least expensive as you can twirl any kind of paper to do your piece. Years ago Nuns made brilliant pieces of art work using the gold guilded edges from their bibles etc. I am now evolving to some of the Arts as well. I am loving Encaustic Wax Painting. so so much fun. Steampunk art is another one of my newest finds. Love using old rusty parts of things to create my works.

I have 3 little dogs. Two are longhaired, Oliver and Zoey and one short haired, Sammy, mini Dachshunds. They make for very nice company now that all the children have left the nest.

This one is a little awkward because I rarely ask for anything. I am happy with what I have. Though now being in Swap-Bot for a while, I have received some really awesome envelopes full of fun things. I am excited to receive small pieces of pretty papers, I really like glittery papers. I like things with a vintage appeal. Especially stickers and such. I hate it when people spend money for me. It makes me very uncomfortable. So please do not ever do that. I love recycled projects. Hand made items or hand written short stories that begin with "When I was younger..." Anything "Steampunk" is good.. old watch parts, rusty things, small do dads .

I guess you would say I am a very eclectic person. My goal now is to get a new set of dinnerware for my kitchen. I have had the same set for almost 20 years now. Quite a few chips and they are just boring. So my plan is now to get a new set a piece at a time. I dont want any of them to match. I just want them to be colorful and different. My mission will be at thrift stores and flea markets. I am excited to see what I can find. I don't worry about furniture to match, it just needs to be something comfortable and nice. I love scatter rugs. all pretty but none matching. Just felt the need to add this so you can feel a little about where I am in my world. I am a happy lady. Hate being around unhappy people. Sometimes people have a very good reason to be unhappy, that is alright. Just don't let it rule your life.

I love my doggies which are miniature Dachshunds. I would be happy to receive anything to do with Doxies.. Stickers, papers, ribbons just anything. I cant seem to find those items here..I also collect 6 inch rulers, I keep loosing mine. I always need the little cellophane sleeves to put my ATCs in. Thank you so much for reading my profile.
