Hi ~ I am a 50 something single woman from USA/Massachusetts. I have two adult children ages 28 and 26. My daughter works for an feline rescue organization - she has four cats! I have one cat I adopted three years ago. Her name is Bootsie Bella - she is such a love. She runs to meet me at the door and follows me everywhere. My son is working in chemistry research in PA. I work full-time - I love my job! I work in higher ed - on the administrative side of things. I can't wait to get to work everyday.

My job and taking classes toward a Bachelor degree in English take up most of my time but I do manage to have fun and have some down time.

For fun the things I enjoy doing are: taking care of and decorating my home. I have a Parisian them going on in my kitchen. I bought a tea towel on a recent visit to France and am having it framed to hang in my kitchen - it is perfect! I love watching HG TV series on home renovating/buying and selling. My tastes in home lean towards contemporary in earth tones with colorful accessories to add interest. One of my favorite books is "Creating a "Sense" sational Home". I am working on my bedroom in a seaside cottage theme. I am loving how it is working out.

I am a coffee drinker (but not Starbucks!) and a tea drinker (I love Teavana). Drink tea at home mostly and coffee at work. I love chocolate (but not the dark chocolate - the one that's good for you lol). Martinis and marguaritas are my Friday night apps go to drinks and wine (Pinot Noir) with dinner.

I enjoy getting together with friends for dinner and/or drinks. I love to take pictures of food - lol. I enjoy seeing a great movie at the theatre or reading a good book. I need to concentrate on getting more exercise and moving more - I'm hoping the FitBit will inspire me to get there.

A big fan of the beach and all things seashore the warmer weather is my favorite. Not a big fan of snow but I love being indoors and watching it fall while I have a hot chocolate and the fire going.:)

I love photography and enjoy making post cards out of my pictures. I hope to someday soon buy a nice camera, take some photography lessons.

I recently bought a new sewing machine but haven't even opened the box yet! I like to sew household accessories and clothing that I can wear at home - I'd never wear it in public for fear it would fall apart! I like to crochet and am working on an afghan for my bedroom. I used to make all the floral arrangements for my home - I haven't done that in a long time. I have slipped in the crafting department - reading everything here I find I am not familiar with a lot of the items - ATC's, some of the flat objects with the funny names.... I do love Art and have come across a few websites that have inspired me to try making post card sized art. I hope to lessen my classload to make some time for creativity in my life :)

I practice my Catholic faith - I find a lot of strength in my faith; however I am not a "crazy" God lady or anything like that. I believe strongly in the power of prayer. I have had so many prayers answered. If you find yourself in need of prayer please email me and I will add you to my prayers.

I am so excited to have found this site - it gives me a great deal of joy to connect with a community that is artistic and creative and enthusiastic. I look forward to participating in all the exciting things going on!
