Hi there! My name is Skylynne, 21 years old, and from California, USA. I am married to my husband David for 2 years. He is in the military (USMC). No children yet, but we do have a few fur babies. Indigo is our black lab. She is somewhere between 4-5 years old. Cheeto is our orange kitty, who turns 2 this year. And we have Penelope, our hamster.

We have hit a little over a year of being in this pandemic, and it has really taken a toll on me. Since moving away from my family to be with my husband at his new duty station, I'm really struggling making new friends and connections with people and being in a total lock down for majority of the time has made that 10x harder. I came across swap-bot and it sounds like the perfect way to 1. make connections with new people and 2. find a new hobby.

I am hard of hearing/ deaf and have been since I was 3. I do wear hearing aids, and most people have no idea that I am HOH! I grew up in a hearing household, so unfortunately I am not very knowledgeable with American Sign Language, however I often practice with videos online.

I currently work as a barista at a coffee shop. I also babysit for children and I absolutely love it!

In my free time, I enjoy playing video games. My husband is a big gamer and has recently pulled me into the world of gaming. He helped me build my own PC and it's been super fun. Some games that I enjoy playing are Call of Duty, Animal Crossing, Overcooked, Stardew Valley, Minecraft, and the Sims 4. Besides playing video games, I spend a lot of my time with my animals. I love being outside with my dog... going to the dog park, walks, hikes. I have recently picked up a few more books than I usually do. I wouldn't call myself a reader, but lately I have been. I also spend a little too much time on my phone.
