My name is Emma, and I'm a 30-something queer person (bi, non-binary, polyam) living in Stockholm, Sweden. I love getting letters and packages in the mail, and I love sending them too.

I run my own small business as a freelance translator and editor, author, game designer and streamer (though only the first tends to make any money, hah!). I also study part-time toward a masters of English Linguistics, though very slowly because I'm quite busy with other things most of the time.

I'm a nerd for many things but more than anything I'm a language nerd. I'm currently studying English linguistics and will be getting a BA in it soon. I have previously studied Arabic, which I also have a BA in. Apart from Swedish, English and Arabic also speak some Swedish Sign Language and Portuguese, and I'm always trying to learn far too many languages.

I am a fiction writer (and very occasional poet). I mainly write spec-fic of various kinds but also some contemporary stuff, and have a number of self-published novellas and novelettes available on the web. I am always working on a book, sometimes on more than one at the same time. Writing is my favorite thing, and I hope to one day be able to do it for a living.

Things I love, in no particular order:

Tea, owls, writing, Star Trek, chocolate, taking walks, most kinds of food, the colors purple and teal, fantasy and science-fiction, queer shit, bad puns, good puns, etymology, nail polish, coloring books, organizing things, washi tape, bullet journals, whiskey, red wine, people watching, going to cafés, talking about almost anything and much, much more.

I love penpalling and swapping stuff. Had a lot of penpals in my teens but not so much anymore.

I enjoy all kinds of swaps. Post cards, stickers, snacks, tea, letters. Anything really, but when sending stuff to strangers I love having a theme to help inspire what I put in the package or envelope.
